Major news is that Oram is out of the game with an injury, so England's price has crashed accordingly.
Still, tough to write off NZ with players like McCullum, Styris and Ross Taylor. The fat bloke Jesse Ryder also looked handy with the bat before being run out in the last match! _________________ Corner vulture

england have 193 off 20 overs
was expecting closer to 1.1-1.2 but dont understand why they're 1.35 to defend such a high score. approaching with caution but it seems good value _________________ Corner vulture

another easy win.
i got on this one with an England back at 1.63 and a kept Lay at 1.2. was already won by the time I woke up!
New Zealand really struggling to put anything together at in these games.
Titan is it down to poor batting or a good England bowling/fielding perforamance, or both? |

U r a lazy so and so FF!
England have played well and look a team full of confidence at the moment. NZ havent really had a chance to build any momentum. The loss of so many of their big guns has made it tricky for kiwis and England have capitalised in a very professional manner.
Couldnt believe I actually managed to SELL NZ supremacy in that match. Crazy how they could ever be faves.
PS Im off to bed now while u work! _________________ Positions now available in OLBG Lottery syndicate. 28 lines in each draw dramatically increases chances of a jackpot. Please PM me for info. |

at what point were New Zealand faves?
England started at 1.6 and didn't lose more than a couple of wickets till late on.
Dammo I don't do these early morning games, especially not after a night in the pub! I watched a few overs towards the end but it was virtually over by that point.
cheers for info, hopefully England can keep it up in the one dayers. |

well in the end, 1.35 was really a 'bankjob', only reason i didnt put more on it was that the odds were 'too good to be true'
disappointingly, I don't think we saw a single flip-flop in either match, and both games were very high scoring which was very surprising.
FF i think that England have been very efficient in these games, in the last game only Luke Wright didnt get a good score, today 4 England players got 30+ in good time which is always going to give a good score. Another positive was that they made over 190 today with Pietersen getting out cheaply.
In previous 20/20's England have looked quite lethargic in their batting, similar to what NZ look like right now. Roles of the two teams have been completely reversed!
England have done the basics right and they also have shown they have the firepower, but NZ are fielding a depleted side so England shouldnt get carried away just yet. But all of their players are in good form so it definitely bodes well for the ODI series in a few days.
Price for the England ODI series is dropping, must get on ASAP if people havent done so already _________________ Corner vulture

titan,
not so sure about the one-day match
i think we have stumbled upon a cracking team for 20/20 matches but whether they can carry that into the longer format i'm not sure
but confidence will help a lot thats for sure and kiwis look a bit battered in many ways at the mo so maybe youre spot on |

cheers gecko
if NZ were full strength then it would be a different matter, I just reckon that England are high on confidence at the moment and the series wins against India and away to SL will stand them in good stead.
I get what you're saying, about whether they can translate it into the longer form...I think they'll find it slightly difficult to adjust, but it will be even worse for NZ, and I even reckon we could see NZ bowled out consistently during this series.
good luck all, think it starts on saturday but far too early for first innings work at least _________________ Corner vulture
