i wasn't at my desk and so missed it. i wanted to Lay India at that price but unfortunately I didn't have any funds available for it!

it was always obvious that unless they could cruise it with Dhoni and yuvraj then the price would go out at some point.

it's not game over yet but it doesnt' look good for Sri Lanka though. they need another wicket fast.

first final starts tomorrow morning, australia on the drift...the bowling in this ODI series has been immense by all sides, pitches have been on the slower side and so scores have been very low.

toss has been a huge factor in this series, and that's the main thing putting me off a pre-match bet.

Whoever wins the toss will probably bat first, and in all likelihood, anything 250+ is probably a winning score.

Dhoni lost the toss I think, yet again. Australia went in to bat, and had a shaky start. Hayden top scored with 82, and Oz are 239/8 after 50 overs.

I reckon the target is sort of dependable, but I hope not! A good start from Sachin and Gambhir can be very advantageous.

great 100 by sachin, will be hugely embarrassing for aus if they lose this 2-0!

hmmm betting in-play...I'm sure other members will know more about this than me, but generally speaking, betting on ODI's for me is less about trading, more about straight punting. Just try to back teams at their best odds during the match and you'll be fine Win

Cheers Titan.

2nd Final tonight.

Odds are rather surprising tbh. Australia @ 1.45 and India @ 3.5 certainly have some value. Its a good price for trading in as well since odds could drop if India could take an early advantage (esp if bowling).

I have noticed that the fluctuation of odds is rather slow, unless India and Australia hit the same odds, then it becomes rather frequent. So much so, that after 4 wickets down, with an average score on board, Australia were still the fav.

Still, they have been stung, and anything could be expected. For India, Ishan might be out, which could be a huge blow since he has been the highest wicket taker for India in this series.

surprised to see Aus still in the 1.4 range, a definite Lay for me although small stakes, as I'm pretty sure that the likes of Gilchrist (and Hogg Laughing ) will want to go out on a high.

I reckon that I'll have keep bets - 1.35 Lay on Aus, Lay India at evens to cover my stake and end up green on India.

India have a few key batsmen in form now, and all of their bowlers are in excellent form too - Ishant Sharma will be hugely missed if he doesn't play.

India batted first and finished on 258/9 after they seemed set to reach at least 280+. Tendulkar got a masterful 91, and everyone else chipped in to push the score there. I slept through most of it, so dunno how odds fluctuated.

Aus are now 1.48 to win, fair price I think. But if they end up losing some quick early wickets, it could shift the onus in India's favor. On the other hand, Gilly's attacking opening is always scary for his opposition.

Lets see what happens!

Aus 32/3 after 9. Kumar got all 3 wickets. The odds now are 3.3 and 1.42 respectively. Tempted to just let the Lay on Australia roll. Seems like a good chance that India will carry this through.

Although Oz are known for their comeback knocks!

isn't Tendulkar the funniest player to watch when he's between 90 and 99 runs, despite having so many century's he seems to panic a bit, trying to score desperate singles and ends up dropping his run rate, quality player but you'd think he'd have gotten over that nervousnous of getting to 100 by now!

Looks like India to win the tournament here, glad I layed Australia to win the tournament at 1.4 early on but i've lost more than i had on that backing Australia in both games!

Australia crumbling here, a poor effort from Gilly saw him out in the first over. Ponting played a weak shock to get caught out and now Clarke is out as well.

34/3 and a poor run rate has them really struggling 10 overs in. Symonds and Hayden the batsman will need to put in a good partnership if they are to come back here.
