Pretty lacklustre batting performance by India, OK bowling from SA but nothing which should have led to them getting bowled out for 76 in 20 overs!
SA are 25/0 now
prices:
India: 12
SA: 1.2
Draw: 12
SA's price has stayed stagnant since the start of their innings, I can't see them moving in more than a few ticks during this whole innings and I'm pretty sure there will be some trading opportunities in the SA Lay.
If they bat for 2 days, the draw will come in and SA will drift. If they get bowled out for under 250, India will come in and SA will drift. I say the only negative to the SA Lay is if they make 300-400, which would probably make the SA win more likely.
Still, can't see SA much lower than 1.15 by the end of their first innings so I'm quite happy to Lay them here. _________________ Corner vulture

you back titan, or writing from India?
i'm not on this game but was suprised to hear the India v SA game making radio 1 news! awful stuff from India, anyone whoose seen can they say weather it was that horrendous a batting display (it clearly wasn't good) or was the pitch doing a lot? |

139/4 now, funny old game indeed as it looked SA would be running away with it!
Think I'll try and square off a bit on India and the draw now, big partnership here with Kallis in now, in 'no bet' territory at the moment IMO so just covering liabilities. Nothing on SA though. Harbhajan looking very dangerous, would not want to chase more than 225+ in the 4th innings.
SA have a long tail so worth keeping in mind that one wicket here could lead to 200 all out.
Hi FF, yes I'm back from India now, amazing fun, need to get back there ASAP as the trip has only underlined how boring life is over here!
India batted quite lazily, the pitch has a lot of green on it, esp by Indian standards. Steyn put it in the right place and got the reward.
Definitely not a 76 AO pitch though, just one of those days when India were poor and SA were pretty good. _________________ Corner vulture

164/4 and SA are 1.27, spreads going about 335 which would probably collapse with a wicket.
I think that 400 should lead to 1.2, which is still a long way off, so I reckon this has a good element of a partial free Lay to it.
One wicket could really change things here, so I reckon there's a fairly large upside here. _________________ Corner vulture

Absolutely shambles of a game. I am so embarrassed!
Unfortunately, I think the result has already been decided, so to speak. After the first day in Chennai, it was pretty clear that the game would be a draw. I think this time India need a miracle to even take it there. _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |

prince are you in India?
How much rain is expected over the next 3 days? 1.2 looks like an absaloute gift for South Africa at the moment while if you had a lot of money to invest 44's is a value Lay of India.
I would personally put India at well over 100's right now. they have 1 innings to hit over 420 runs just to take the lead with SA still having another innings at their disposle.
If i had the money i'd personally take everything from 40's up to 200's!
i think even with rain every day they'd be able to get in enough overs to get India out again and 1.2 is a gift of a price. I think as soon as SA get out/declare the price will drop a bit anyway.
No rain forecast after today so the result is higly likely. |

Nah mate..I am in UK, so can't really say anything about the rain.
Must admit though, India deserve nothing out of this game. They have been completely outplayed by SA in all departments. Still, I hope it rains and somehow its a draw. But I must admit, I can't see anything past SA win atm! _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |

rain ended play for the day but not a lot affected really. 3 days to play, sunshine forecast for the next 3 days.
I expect SA to go out and whack it around for a few overs tomorrow morning to get up to at least 450 lead, probably bat themselves out or declare when they drop a wicket and are above the 450.
India will then have a long long time to try to bat to a lead or just stay in!
huge value on the SA win as far as i'm concerned. |

struggling to see how SA can't win this tbh, probably will get bowled before lunch on day 3, India will have to bat for at least 2 days - maybe getting a lead of 100 which SA could knock off on the last day.
So, for SA not to win...India need another triple century in quick time, or just need to block out nearly two and a half days.
SA have shown this is a pretty good batting track and India will probably have the best of the conditions, so I can see them getting into a fifth day. Pretty fair value at 1.2 IMO, good bet if you're doing level stakes. _________________ Corner vulture

5 days titan, i think your overrating the Indian's somewhat there! hitting over 400 in a second innings with 3 days to play!
as it happens India have got no where near the score and it looks like it'll be all over not long into the 4th day, that's if they can't finish off the final 2 wickets in the last 10 overs.
I had a very big bet on SA at 1.23, it was huge value I thought as i just couldn't see how SA wouldn't win. Looking very safe at the moment. |

South Africa deserved to win. No doubt. And in retrospect, you were right about 1.23 being value. Hope India can salvage some pride in the last one..this was one to forget.
Having said that, I cant see India winning the next one. Saffers have done nowt wrong with their batting, and their bowlers have been firing too. Could also use Ishant for the next test, but I don't think its about 1 bowler now... _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |
