Well, McCullum himself got 10 sixes. Make it 11.
I dunno why but I laid the more than 9 sixes. If Bangalore was batting first, I could have traded out. Oh well!
12 sixes. Ridiculous! _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |

Not only have Kolkata broken it but McCullum the one man show has broken it by himself and broken Gayle's record for 6's in a match!
what an innings!
Probably one man has destroyed much chance of a close game!
McCullum Stats:
Score: 158
Number of balls: 73
Number of 4's: 9
Number of 6's: 14
Strike Rate: 216.43
Total team score 222 (for 3 wickets) |

My paper trading did not go too well in the end. I was sort of optimistic about Blore doing well, but after a while, should have just got out with minimum losses. This is what the figures looked like at the end:
Bangalore: +13.69
Kolkatta:-9.51
I will paper trade again for maybe another couple of matches to see how things go!
If not, I'll just back pre-match (like Kolkatta for today ) _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |

prince - you picked a bad day to start but stick with it. Trading market over-reactions in a sport like this is more likely to be profitable for you long-term than punting in a 105% book, from my personal (painful) experience.
I was chatting with FF on MSN earlier and I mentioned that a few years back i had my first 12 of those type of trades correct but as soon as I told someone about it I saw the most one-sided 20/20 game since record begun and a LOSS

Heh..Thanks alfie. I vaguely remember you suggesting trading a couple of times before. I like the idea, its time taking (and needs patience), but can be very fruitful.
I will definitely persevere, and put up something here, just to get some consultation. But yea, should be fun!
Thanks _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |

The beauty of this style of trading is it takes no time at all. With the BF KEEP option you can put them up pre-event and they will go in-play automatically. Just put them on, then move on to next market, or better still switch off PC and go do something more interesting. IF your confident that the market is that volatile then it will do it regardless of whether your staring at the screen for hours losing hair. |

AH..good point about the volatility of markets. For example, today, one team was too strong when compared to another, so 1.4 would have been a back instead of Lay in those conditions. I went with the pre-conceived notion that market would shake up further, but it went straight to 1.01. Tbh, I failed to judge the momentum.
I can see your point about 'Keep' function, and I think its great in sports that fluctuate even quicker (egs horse racing), hence giving you less time to match. But for something volatile, yet considerably slower such as cricket, I would personally trade. Still, its very interesting to see your point of view, which I think is very viable under current situation.
More importantly, I enjoy cricket, so nothing's lost there _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |
