| the reason uk do so badly is mainly political, how we interfere in pretty much in the affairs of every country going. it will have to be a good 20% better than the rest to stand a chance. most of the countries that do well in it are neutral. |

| dammo i think that the fact that we don't take it seriously and pick out the worst of the UK's pub performers to battle it out for the right to go to it and sing an attrocious song really doesn't help! |

| theyve tried to get too trendy the last few years. they need to get back to the good old pop efforts they had yers ago. the things is if u let the stupid public decide then they will pick summat awful. |

i must agree...
i can see Dame Shirley Bassey in a gold catsuit belting out a song writin
by the guys who write westlifes songs going down a storm.
i dont think its all down to politics, if we send a really good standout song
PERFORMED.. well by that i mean some sort of OH MY GOD...thing.

Well well well... YES Morrissey is in talks with the bbc to write a song for this years contest..
dont think he intends to sing though (pity)
but with such an amazing talent we must stand a better chance this year.

Would like to think so but i feel Eurovision has become even more political then ever (and that is saying something! ).
I think if Morrisey writes the song he should entitle it "They all hate us, we dont care" catchy little ditty
