To tell the truth, i have watched it tonight, recorded it for the wife whos abroad at the moment, watched the MORE talent show on ITV2 and then watched the recorded first one again.

This is a winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent 15+ years in the entertainment industry as an entertainer, agent , manager and consultant. And the dissapearance of "variety" is what lead to me giving it all up.

This show is what the TV has been crying out for. Yes its on the "reality" slant, but its variety in all its former glory. Witha sprinkling of "nutters" thrown in. Oh and self important judging panel. But its the modern Opportunity Knocks, the winner gets on the Royal Variety which was always the case anyway.

Damon Scott (micheal Jackson monkey puppet), is a very talented young man, i actually worked with him when he started out in the cabaret circuit when he was just 18-19 years old. He was actually doing that puppet then too!!

I will be looking out for other people that are known to me over the next few nights. I might be able to spill some juicy beans.

I must say though that the show as a whole is the complete package, its got laughs, its got crys. PAVOROTTI, DANCE TROUPE, BATON TWIRLER and its based on a ready made format that pretty much everyone is familiar with now, with X factor, Pop Idol, Fame academy, Maria, Joseph, Grease, the list is endless. But thats why its endless, becuase it works.

The only downer i can find is that this is yet another nail in the coffin for Sitcom as there is even less space on the telly and therefore less opportunity for talented writers young and old to get comissioned.

Sitcoms dont make money, telephone voting does. Simple but sad fact of television evolution

BBC3 commission lots of new comedy shows, but many of them are pony. We have quite enjoyed Gavin and Stacey, its warm without being the best script ever. ITV hasnt bothered with comedy for years. Maybe theyll change a bit now Grade is within.

I wish someone would get rid of those late nite phone-in quizzes for idiots. They are everywhere now. Even music channels are showing them after midnight.

Many of them are set up so that they are that ambiguous that there is a multitude of answers. A couple of years ago, whilst late nite flicking, I stumbled across a question about dogs. It interested me as it was mathematical. I was waiting til someone got the answer I had. Eventually someone said it and they said it was wrong. I had been thinking outside the box as I thought that was wot it was about. I watched this programme like an idiot for about an hour waiting for someone to get it right. I just wanted to know the answer.

They got to end of programme and no one had got it, and they didnt reveal the answer! So frustrating. I had posted it on here to see wot others thought. A few forum members got very involved in it and begged me to find the answer out. I ended up emailing them to get it for people. They said it would be on the following weeks show, but if I didnt wanna watch, they would email me the following day. When we got sent the answer, I asked if anyone could work out the logic of how they had arrived at the solution. No one could.

theres varying types of late nite quizzes, the really easy ones that are just designed to get really stupid people (who cant normally answer questions right) to ring in. the complex maths ones that there are infinite solutions to, which they can let run as long as they like, prob til the call levels drop to minimal interest. then the find the word ones which again have loads of permutations.

anyone who rings up any of these phone competition things seriously need help.
