Kicked off now, still at auditions stage but might bve worth at making a few notes.........

Just watched the lad from the Army..Ryan.. get through, just the fact he's in the Army, been to Iraq and had 2 mates killed out there gives him a HUGE advantage, being a half decent singer also helps as im sure they will get him to improve with training, one to keep an eye on and im sure he will be a huge fans fav if getting thru to latter stages.

I think the young Girl who went on the show last year and they put her through only for her to tell them she was only 14 so she couldn't, was on tonights show and because the age limit has been lowered she is no allowed in it and she went through tonight, keep an eye out for her. She sings in an opera style.

Both of the above two, and the woman from last week, I forget her name, she found the entry form after her father passed, she sang "I will always love you". Those are the 3 to keep an eye on so far for me.

I thought that the wedding singer was good, gavin i think his name was, sang 'higher and higher', hard song to sing however I think you need a bit of a gimmick for these type of shows so the soldier could go far.

Thought Matthew was good, seems a cheeky chappy and upset louie by taking the urine out of his own acts, good chance i think.

For me from the early views, Beverley looks good for the Over 25s after the Wedding Singer surprisingly went Shocked

Whoever the opera guy is, I like him for the boys, he does have talent in my books, but not in others, the guy can take a song and make it his own, a possible Ray Quinn, where if they can find his specialist category he will go far...

Personally as far as the groups go, I liked Ghost, they sang "Aint No Mountain High Enough", but Simon dubbed them as being too "old fashioned", will be on them to be best group if they reach the show, but if Simon does what I expect, and gets rid of them, then this is wide open...

The bubbly girl is going to win the girls section I think, she has a great voice and I think that she could be going a long way here, but for me Beverley is the early pace setter Very Happy

Beverley is a great price at 15.5 on Betfair for the outright Shocked

Ghost have gone for the groups, although I thought they provided a decent, Boyz II Men style performance. Same difference will get a lot of credit for being a Boy/Girl Brother/Sister collaboration, but these are my choices for the individual categories...

Best Group
Too be honest I think it looks a bit "predictable" two groups in "Futureproof" and "Hope" who were made up form previous auditions, two girl groups brought together for Hope, and 5 boys who were "not quite good enough" granted a second chance as a band, makes no sense to me at all how people who weren't good enough solo would make a decent band unless it's Westlife Laughing , still, cannot see "Same Difference" going too far, the guy sounded a bit too flat, but there is something to like about them which may see them sneak quite far... But in terms of a front runner for the groups go, Only because I prefered their two songs over the other groups, is the all boy out-fit of "FutureProof"

Best Male
Full credit to Leon, he sung a song which has been "the killer" over the past two years, U2's "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" has knocked out the "semi-finallists" for the past two years and to me is the "Kiss of Death" song, definately my choice as an outsider, had a blip at Boot Camp, and could struggle at the live stage.
Andy is a good looking lad, I said to the other half when he got past Boot Camp, "There's some Eye-Candy for You", she got annoyed Laughing , but he can definately make songs his own if you ask me, he has the look of a pop-star and will be a huge success with the female audience, definately one to be on for the "Best Male Act"
Rydian is the Opera Guy, I liked him from the Auditions, when nobody at first wanted him through and then he proved his ability by singing his own version of "Dancing Queen" a song picked out of the blue by Simon Cowell who was certain he would struggle with it, 1 minute later he voted him through, and the only person not to give him a yes, was his now mentor "Dannii", and all of a sudden, the guy who creeped her out slightly is in the last 12, if he can find his feet early on then he is going to be going far, but still Andy for me in terms of this category...

Best Female Act
This is now the toughest one for me, all 3 girls have their own style of singing, Emily I didnt really like in all honesty, I think she is too young, but can indeed sing and has every right to be there, but not old enough and will probably lack the charisma of a future star.
Alison on the other hand is a bit like a "Diva" she has the hair, a great voice, and a nice body if she wears the right things, looks very glamourous and will definately have the look, and hopefully with the right songs she can progress far in this competition, I would like to see her challenge for a spot in the final, but think this may be a step too far, but one of my top bet for the girls...
Kimberley is slightly difficult to predict, being the "Bubbly" one I said in my last post here. I think she may annoy people after a while and the charm and enthusiasm may be the cause of her eventual downfall. A nice girl, but I can definately see her getting on people's nerves and not being as "laid-back" as the others, I can see her going towards the middle, or even being the first person to go here...

Best Over 25
Daniel is the early favourite for this category, but I think that many would see this as a "had your chance" person, sadly not for his own reasons as the company who recorded his single was bought out before his single hit the stores, he can definately sing, but is up against some great opposition...
For Niki, I think it is a case of how soon she will sadly fall apart. The most moving story of the competition goes to her, in that her Dad was going to send off the application for her to go on "The X-Factor" but sadly passed away before he had the chance to. She is driven by her father to succeed and has given some brilliant and moving performances so far this series.
Beverley is my favourite from this category, Boot Camp she sung "Let There Be Love" I think, and it sounded great, and last night she sung "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" and I know they say big boys don't cry, but it hit a nerve with me, fantastic voice, sings brilliantly, and if Louis has more confidence, then she is the winner for me, not just of the category but the whole competition...

My Views

Best Male - Andy Williams
Best Female - Alisha Bennett
Best Over 25 - Beverley Trottman
Best Group - FutureProof
Outright - Beverley Trottman

Anyone got any early views to share, a general consensus would be greatly appreciated Win

I'm wondering when someone will change the mood music they stick on throughout the show.

it's all the same songs they've been using for the past 4 series!

and I'd like some odds on what "this" is.

"I really want this" said approxiamtely 30 times in each show.

Kimberly will last a few weeks I think, I feel she has annoyance factor to be someone who they can have a little argument about each week and Simon will say something like "I can't help but find you really irritating but you have a very good voice".

Emily was very good, but at some point I feel they'll pull the too young and not mature enough, she'll "learn and grow" but in the end she'll have one too many tears on the live show and she'll be out.

Alisha may do quite well but don't think all the judges will like her.

Samedifference are pretty poor and I feel have about a 0.1% chance of winning. I knew they'd go through due to the fact they were the only different group (as in not a large group) and they've got a bit of a story in being a brother and sister, some great emotional shots to come in the following weeks, learning, growing, keeping each other going by their closeness and the negative comments bringing them closer together. they'll last about 4 weeks.

Hope I didn't think were very good really, didn't think they worked that well together and don't think they'll last long.

Futureproof (aren't these group names awful!) didn't sound bad and may do best out of the groups but how well they do may depend on weather they can work together well enough having come in to the competition seperately.

Beverely I agree was very good and should go far.

Nikki, oh Nikki, doesn't she have a story, finding the application form in her deceased dad's belongings after he'd gone too all her gigs. I can see that one coming up a few times, "doing it for my dad" and all a few teams. Can't remember what she was like singing wise, probalby alright! didn't cry when told her result though, the inability to shed tears at the right moment can be detremental.

Danny D looks like he could do well, he's got quite a good look, apart from that damn flat cap thing and Louis will quite like him, he'll tell him he looks like a star. they tell him he has his own style of singing but what i've seen of him he sounds like he's trying to be ronan keeting quite a lot.

Inatimate: don't get too caught up in thier singing ability, you've got to concentrate on the story's, especially for weekly eviction's (vote out's or whatever they call it.

your right in spotting the "good looking pop star" type ones though as that is the other major factor in who wins.

I dont' think i'll bet on this, this year, the odds can swing about so much at times and the market goes on so long your tieing your money up for ages. i'll have a couple on beverely though to see if her price comes down after the first week.

current odds have Futureproff as favourites, followed by Leon then Andy Williams.

I'd Lay Hope at 8.8 but don't really have the money to tie up on it at the moment!

I have a bet for anyone who wants it

i'll give you 10/1 the words "my x factor journey" are said less than 20 times a show

i mean i can understand people being a bit emotional and that but the whole thing is set-up and they are given lines to read why they cry

i only watch the auditions to see the complete freaks make tits out of them selfs ,then its pointless after that who ever wins never has a sucessful career anyway

Any decent musician or singer would not put them self through so much of a pantomime show and be told what to do

of course there maybe one or two exceptions but the reality is the show is there for one reason only to make simon cowell richer

next genaration of talent has and will be found through internet sites

Emily Nakanda @ 8/1

She was the first 14 year old girl to audition and she was superb and has a very touching story aswell which really did reel me in, as i said she was superb on her first appearence and stood out for me, she jolted abit over the next few rounds and did not live up to her early expectations but she has been given a chance and is in the final, i feel she can build up her confidence and put in some top performances and she can go all the way and win this years X Factor.

1st Eviction Market is up, and even though a few weeks back I said I liked Kimberley to go quite far, I think she is going to fall at the first hurdle. There's a lot of talent out there, the boys are quite safe in my view, Rhydian is the unsure one, but I think he has a little "extra" to take him through.
Some people will take a shining to SameDifference, in the same way as people liked those McDonald Brothers Mad , so I don't think they will be leaving, Niki has got a lot of emotion going into her performance so I think that she can give a great performance for the early couple of rounds when the music isn't really tied.
Alisha is too good to be considered for me, a great talent waiting to emerge, hopefully a better dress sense for the show, but with the right song she can wow the audience...
The only worrying thing is that I think it is people voting for the people they want to save, and as irritating as Kimberley is, I cannot see a lot of people voting for her to stay in based on the talent available, she may go slightly un-noticed as she doesn't exactly fit into a category of voters imho.
