i played my first game of backgammon online for money today.
saw it available from the Party Poker folk so got in for a go for 50cents.
Firstly there were a whole load of extra rules and options that I'd never seen before and didn't really understand. These were optional extras.
Secondly all the games i played were on pretty short time limit per go and I found having taken too long meant i forefitted the game! a bit harsh i'd say, would be fairer to make you miss your turn. then again i guess sometimes it can prove better to miss your turn than have to play your go and put your pieces in dangerous positions.
you could play tournaments on there but i'm not sure if you could do private ones. i'll take a look later and get back with the info. |

| Are skills websites like Play65.com are honest or it's fixed and a big scam? |

| I have no concerns about Play65 they seem a very reputable company from the dealings we've had with them. |

so back to the backgammon, it's been taking over my life at the moment, the new poker for me!
is anyone up for a game or two sometime?
i'm also up for having a tournament if we can get the numbers.
i'm only on Party Gammon at the moment but it's not that great, i'm sure there are better out there if anyones knows of any and wants a game let me know. |

Williamhill have a free £150 Backgammon tourney each sunday 4.30... A good way to learn the game and chance of winning free money as well. They also have a £20 freeroll daily at 5.20 I think.. Just a shame im rubbish at it |

Thanks pebbles - we did try it before but a couple of problems
a) Play65 couldnt make it private - so we ended up getting 100s of non OLBG members playing
b) Not many OLBG members were interested
IF you know somewhere where we can set up private tournaments (dont know any) and the interest is big enough (20-50+ members) - maybe we can do again someday.
