Here we go again

1. This time we are looking for TWO £100 bets - so probably the top 2 in the poll as long as they arent opposing bets

2. Probably a good idea to at least look into other markets though like rather than automaitically having our 2 bets from the main 3 markets.
- team totals
- TD scorers

Early market indicators
Packers -7
U/O 41.5

No strong view yet.

Ordinarily Id say the Giants were better on the road than the Seahawks but with so many Defensive injuries they could be in big trouble against what was a very impressive GB offence. Subject to a couple of rookie mistakes by the packers last week they blew out the Seahawks. Maybe part of that was the conditions and part that the Seahawks stink on the road but it was still impressive.

To watch
- weather
- Giants injuries

just going to put a few choices up just first observations of intrest:

OVERS 41.5 @ 1.9 - i like this because the packers can score points but they may need to get the majority of them and the weather is an issue, obviously snow is not a problem for favre but wind is.

TIE-GREEN BAY @ 19.00 - no real reason just seems a little big.

Score in final 2 minutes of 1st half @ 1.41 - favre is great in two minute offence and eli's most impreesive moments were when under pressure late in the half v dallas

Longest field goal under 43.5 YARDS @ 1.86 - very much a weather choice as any type of adverse weather would mike this great value.

Team to recieve opening KO NY Giants @ 1.9 - this is my personal favourite green bay have recieved the kick off just 6 times in their 17 games but have kicked to the other team 11 times, either they are really bad at winning the toss or its the game plan to kick should they win it. the giants are exactly 50-50. previous encounter NY also recieved.

Anytime TD scorer D Lee @ 2.62 - has become a very important part of green bays offence and is a key in short yardage situations

Packers -7, even at 1.86, looks good.

Points for:

Packers beat Giants in Week 2, 35-13. GB trailed at the half, but turned things around with three TDs in the 4th quarter.

Since that game, GB have Jennings back, while NY have likely lost Madison. Favre rated 112.4 in Week 2; for the rematch he has an improved receiver corps against a depleted secondary.

Since Week 2, The Pack have discovered a new star at RB in Ryan Grant. Last week, Grant showed that he has the bottle to go with the brawn: completely unfazed by two early fumbles (both converted to leave the Pack trailing 14-0), he finished with 3 TDs and more than 200 yards.

GB looked rusty last week after their bye. For about five minutes. After that, they crushed opposition of comparable quality to the Giants.

Points against:

Manning is on fire. Three successive games with a rating in excess of 100 is way better than he’s produced in 3.5 years as starting QB. I don’t expect this to continue. At this lofty level, I think he’ll be exposed as little more than a flake.

It looks like (From local forecasters) that there willl not be the amount of snow, such as that which affected last weeks game in Green Bay, so i am in agreement with the 'Over 41.5' prediction.
Trying to find value in the game may rest with 'Anytime TD scorer' and with injuries to a few of the Giants offense, i am sticking my neck out with TE Kevin Boss for NYG @5/2. He should be the 1st pass option in the red zone, and goal line, he aint no Shockey! but he only has to catch and hold the ball, something he didnt do last week against Dallas. so if Jacobs and Bradshaw dont run the ball, look out for Boss to be Mannings target in and around the endzone! Another wager worth looking at is, either teams DST scoring a TD at anytime @7/5.
Having said all this, a punt on NYG to win the game @ 27/10 or +7 @ 20/21 is another option! ( All prices are Bet365 )

This is my first post but hopefully i wont attract too much criticism!

My main tip would be New York Giants to win by 1-6 points @ 11/2 Betfair.

I really feel that this will be a close game and the main focus will be on the 2 Quarterbacks, Favre and Manning. There could be as little as a field goal between the 2 come the end of the 4th quarter.

Eli Manning seems to be rising to the challenge and finally growing out of the shadow of his older brother. The Giants have won 9 on the spin away from home, and as this game is at Lambeau Field, and having just beaten the No.1 seed in the NFC away they will extremely confident of a win.

What more can be said about Favre that hasnt already been said. The guy had his 2nd best season ever with regards to his overall QB rating, broke countless records throughout the season, and must see this as his last chance to get to the superbowl.

Green Bay are 17/5 on to win this game, and although the bookies rarely get it wrong, after the Giants last 3 results (including taking New England all the way) i think Manning and the Giants will triumph.
Eli Manning's last 3 quarterback stats are:

v NE 118.6
@ Tampa 117.1
@Dallas 132.4

I think that it will be a high scoring game

The Giants only failed to score 20 points 3 times away from home, and one of those was at Wembley, when everyone would agree the conditions were attrocious!

The Packers at home only failed to score over 20 points twice.

So my 2 cents worth are as follows:

Giants to win by 1-6 points @ 11/2 Betfair
Game totals over 40 points @10/11 Betfair

Greg Jennings for the first touchdown scorer at 7/1 with Bet365 (the selected bookie and the highest odds anyway).
Favre has found Jennings for a td 12 times in the regular season and twice in the playoffs already.

Jennings is obviously Favre's favreite (pun intended) Cheeky

I dont know the odds but for me Ryan Grant for first touchdown should be a decent price.

Given the dull low priced bet it would have to be Green Bay minus the handicap.

Given the weather (and my feeling are the better team) it just has to be logical outcome.

i like kings call of jennings for 1st TD. Jennings has played 14 games in total this season and scored 14 TD's. he is very much the explosive playmaker nowadays

The above link is known for giving wrong stats etc, and at present it shows that NYG lost the last game at Dallas 45-35! so beware!
