I likw the unders to be honest giants will look to slow down game like they did v green bay and should cause brady to have to take his time in the pocket also.

OK I guess its time to put the bets on

Weve cancelled ourselves out on the pointspread so I dont think we have a bet their

Unders looks a clear pick on votes although there was some good argument for overs in the thread. Still I guess we should go with the majority so
BET 1: £100 Under 54.5 @ 10/11

Next best looks to be Pats by 1-6 but Zipster makes a good case for 7-12. I think the 5/1 about 1-6 makes it more attractive though but Im reluctant to do the whole hundred. Hence Im going to use the final £100 as follows

BET 2
£50 Pats win by 1-6 @ 5/1
£25 Maroney MVP @ 13
£25 Bradshaw ATD @ 11/5

That way we have several interests in the game & even after it!
Fingers crossed!

nice going Ant...i think you have done a great job in summising the consensus, and you also included my dark horse tip of MVP in Maroney Win

i keep trying to find value in this game and its proving difficult for me, can the Giants get enough pressure compensate for their bad secondary? i just dont know....Brady + no wind + warm-ish temperature = high number of points normally

so im going for overs 54 in this one even though i hear the arguments for unders, expect Pats to win this one by a TD

lets hope for a cracking game

Dont like it at that price

Basically this is two bets

Giants to win
Pats to win by 1-7

I dont think Giants will win so Im basically getting 6/4 on Pats win 1-7

As discussed above I can get 5/1+ on Pats to win 1-6 so thats the bet I prefer

If anyone is into the spreads then I think I might have spotted something

NE/NYG Shirts Superiority
Pats are priced to win by 130ish which 1-2 TDs based on average shirt numbers.

HOWEVER - if you look at the shirts of the key playmakers (tops 5 in the list) then there are some interesting number mismatches in favour of the Patriots

New York New England
Burress 17 81 Moss
Toomer 81 83 Welker
Jacobs 27 39 Maroney
Bradshaw 44 33 Faulk
Smith 12 84 Watson
Boss 89 10 Gaffney
Moss (s) 83 18 Stallworth

EG If NE win by 5 TDs to 4 with a fairly even split of scorers

81 Moss Burress 17
83 Welker Toomer 81
39 Maroney Jacobs 27
39 Maroney Smith 12
84 Watson
326 137
Thats a 190 makeup

Also personally I think Giants may try more running red zone attempts than the pats which would give more 40ish TDs. Also with Burress being their real weapon of late and being 17 thats another low shirts indicator for the Giants

Just 10 points at the half, so the unders looks good.

Quote:
Giants FG 1st Score 5.8

And thanks for this Antony. Not a market I would dream of looking at myself, but I took some when you pointed it out (6.0 at Ladbrokes). January losses wiped out already.

wow, congrats to the giants,

delighted to have an nfc winner considering what was being said about the teams i the conference earlier in the season.

thought the giants deserved it, were the better team and once again the defence stepped up they continued to get better week by week.

great to finish in a profit for the charity bets, makes all the discussion and arguments worthwhile
