I need an NFL team

Has anyone any suggestions. I want a team that is the American equivilent of Manchester City - my football team. In essence they need to have the ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, have very loyal fans, and is in general a rollercoaster of a team. Also I dont want to be jumping on the bandwagon of the Patriots or Cowboys.

Would also be helpful if they played in Blue - but its not essential.

Detroit Lions.

Play in blue, successful in the 50s, dismal record since, false dawns once a decade. Had a good start this season (6-2) before fading to mediocrity. Perfect fit I'd say.

Plus, their host city has strong music connections.

Detroit Lions - perfect choice boozybeggar.

As long as you don't expect too much they will never dissappoint you.

Seattle Seahakws

Great home support, the "12th man" means they win many home games but also can play rubbish on the road and losing games they should win
for example, they were 14-0 up at Green Bay in the playoffs this year but then lost by over 10 points

they play in blue as well = perfect!

they've now become the New England Patriots, modelling on the structure and success.

However slight warning... it doesnt mean you are guarnteed to win everything, just helps loads! Cheeky

How about the New York Jets richardmcfc....

Not won the league since 1968 (same year as City last won it surprisingly enough), have been sitting in the shadow of their city rivals the Giants (United) since then, not really expected to excel too much until a change around last season saw them become a pretty strong side (Sven Laughing

), and now after a lot of investment, a few big stars have joined their ranks (Brett Favre (Jets) Robinho (Citeh)) and now they have become a real force in their league, and the odds on offer (75 Jets, and 50 City) now look far too generous given their credentials and potential outlook for this season. Only real problem is that the Jets play in Green, but they are very similar to City.
Not to mention that the Jets now own the highest paid offensive player in the league in Alan Faneca, which could be seen as close enough of a comparison to City paying the British Transfer record fee for Robinho... Confused

I personally allied myself to the Cleveland Browns when Randy bought Villa so I can see where you're coming from.
