I hope I have got the Roman numerals right!
Starting this very early. I can't see past a Colts win here. After watching them in the AFC Championship game I have gained a lot of respect for Inianapolis and Manning in particular and I can't see them blowing this now.
The Saints were poor yesterday but I just hope that is their bad day over with and they can come out firing on all cylinders as I would really like them to win. I think they will at least keep it close though.
Whichever way I think we could be in for a real treat with this game especially if the Colts D don't get to grips with the Saints early on.
My early thoughts are New Orleans +5.5 @10/11 and over 56 points at the same price. I am hoping for something like a 41-38 scoreline and a classic match.
I have a small fancy for this game to be the first ever Super Bowl to go to overtime. I will see if I can get a price for that in the next couple of weeks. |

I think there is some stat - don't quote me on it that the dog only covers if they win outright, and the fav always covers the spread if they win.
Therefore you go either NO ML or Indy -4.5 (anyone else note the ownward line movement? )
My bet and i bought a half point for this, is New Orleans +5 @ 20/23 - Bet365
I have already placed it as the line has shifted from upwardly Indy to New Orleans.
Even though i just said to take NO on the ML, i don't have the baws since my bet is a hefty one - given the massive nature of this game, money management goes out of the window
I will also be betting some props for this game an all in all i will probably have 5% of my bankroll on the game _________________ Since Celtic can't get into the Premier League, Strachan is giving the players a chance to get Boro there |

Standout bet for me is under 56.6 points @10/11. Very few previous superbowls have exceed this points total (2 from last 14 if I'm not mistaken). Both teams admittedly have a strong offence but that does not always equate to a high scoring game.
Also like the look of Colts -5.0 @10/11 |

I couldn't disagree more Trendy, what is different from past superbowls is that these two have some of the best offensive lines in the league.
Because of that, and the doubt of Freeney, we should see both QB's getting plenty of time in the pocket to make big plays and post TD's.
I am eyeing up the prop of under 3.5 turnovers and under 7.5 punts.
It is a massive o/u total though so there is plenty of insurance so to speak. If we see less than 2 TD's in the 1st quarter i'll be getting very worried because Manning does have great time management to run the clock down in the 4th if they are ahead. _________________ Since Celtic can't get into the Premier League, Strachan is giving the players a chance to get Boro there |

Mrpaddockman you cut me with such brutal honesty!
I admit my post was a little sketchy do to being a bit unsure of the result and consuming copious amounts of alcohol that evening.
Instead of pulling apart other peoples posts though you might try and enlighten us with your own fantastic pearls of wisdom on the outcome of the game?
Would that be too much to ask?
If you are neither a gambler or a sports fan what are you then? |

Colts -4.5
Cant see manning or that offense having a bad game against a shaky saints defense, especially with those corners.
Colts defense also has enough talent to pressure Brees with their front 4 even with a hindered Freeney therefore slowing the passing game.
Also as a novelty bet of Sacks under 3.5 @5/13 is a good bet with both those offensive lines being extremely solid |

Brady and the Pats only scored 17 on them, Warner and the Cars only scored 14 on them.
Lets not underestimate them, defence wins championships....but it does help to have an offence like the saints
*Indy had such an easy schedule also, they were down big to the jets and only scored 20 on the Ravens.
Dammit though, it's Manning in a SuperBowl, he can't lose!!! _________________ Since Celtic can't get into the Premier League, Strachan is giving the players a chance to get Boro there |

i agree the saints defense is not a bad one. for starters it will be the Manning show with Addai being nothing more than a reciever in the backfield.
But the Colts offense is just as good as the Saints and their defense for me as the edge.
Their front seven is very good |

Well guys, it's been a good year, i've made a healthy profit and made a ridiculous amount off OLBG including over 50 lsp on the season.
This game is taking up 25% of my yearly profit and even if i had lost money this season, it would have 5 times the action of any single game.
I have my bets spread out and i will give them as a unit stake out of 100 of my bankroll for this game.
New Orleans +5 15 Units
New Orleans/Indy Over 56.5 15 Units
Manning Over 310 Yards 10 Units
Austin Collie to beat Henderson 9 Units
No Turnover in Game @ 9/1!!! 2 Units
Colts Most Turnovers 5 units
Stover Over 8 Points 6 Units
D Clark Over 72.5 5 Units
Either team to score 3 unanswered times = NO 13 Units
Under 7.5 Punts 8 Units
Under 3.5 Sacks 6 Units
Under 3.5 Turnovers 6 Units
Everyone enjoy the game, drink plenty of beer and make sure that if you are watching it with a load of people, like i am, don't continuously go on about your bets - no one gives a sh*t unless they have plenty on like YOU!!
Come on here afterwards and gloat, we like self congratulation!
I've got 8 people coming round at least and i swear to god, if some are only coming for the Dominos i'll kick 'em out! Or maybe i'm taking it too seriously _________________ Since Celtic can't get into the Premier League, Strachan is giving the players a chance to get Boro there |
