Things didn't go to plan at all on Monday night as the Grizzlies and Warriors bucked the long running trend and finished with the lowest score ever between the two teams while the Mavericks looked very short on ideas when tested by the Cavs and in the end capitulated - though annoyingly showed their true form when beating the Spurs next time. The Jazz did at least win that night and hopefully tonights single bet will have an outcome similar to the latter rather than the former. Win

HOUSTON ROCKETS (-5.0)
The Rockets have been nearly men for the last few season but signing Ron Artest in the summer was a great move for them and in my opinion puts them in with a good chance for the championship this year. They won their first 3 games of the season in good style before losing out by 4pts to current champion Boston last time. Considering Yao Ming had, what he described himself as, "one of the worst games of my career" and Artest didn't fire either it was a very good effort from the rest to keep the game so close. If the duo are at their best tonight then along with Tracy McGrady and the rest of the squad the Rockets can prove too strong for the Trailblazers who are once again without star man Greg Oden for this game. They have looked a bit lost in their last two games since losing the big man and I can see a pretty comfortable Rockets victory here if they get in a stride.

best of luck,

Deco.

What a finish to this game Shocked Cool

Rockets come from 10pts down in the 4th to be level and force overtime. Then when still level and in possession with 10 seconds left in OT they miss a jump shot and Brandon Roy heads straight for the basket rather than calling a timeout and sinks one to give the Blazers a 2 point lead with 1.6 seconds on the clock. The Rockets inbound to Yao Ming who turns and hits a tough fadeaway to tie but was also fouled so he went to the line for one. He sank that so the Blazers were down by one with 0.8 on the clock. They then inbounded to Roy who amazingly had time to catch, pivot and sink a deep three in 0.8 seconds to dramatically win the game.

Great stuff and although the bet lost this is the kind of thing that makes the NBA so entertaining. Win
