Oakland A's to beat Cleveland Indians @ 2.44

The As have made a very good start to the season and have won 5 of their last 6 matches. They have a very good pitcher on the mound tonight in Joe Blanton, he was very unlucky to lose against the Indians on Sunday, he dominated their lineup for six innings, allowing just two runs on 7 hits, so he will want some revenge tonight. He used a very heavy fastball and solid breaking pitch that night and it worked well. The Tribes CC Sabathia has made a poor start to the season he lasted only 5 1/3 innings in his last match and surrenderd four runs on six hits and four walks. He also has a poor record against the As in 13 outings he is 2-6 with a 6.04 ERA. Athletics can go 1-0 in the series.

St Louis Cardinals to beat SF Giants @ 1.78

The Cardinals start with Kyle Lohse who has started 2 matches this season and not given up any runs, he has pitched a total of 12 innings. The Cardinals are 7-3 this season and that has been mostly because of good pitching and I expect Lohse to pitch well tonight. The Cardinals also have a very good closer in Ryan Franklin, he has a had a tough start to the season but he has plenty of ability and he will make it hard for the Giants when he comes up. The Giants start with left hander Barry Zito, he has lasted only 5 innings in his first two starts and I worry about him tonight. The Cardinals are also doing well against left handers, they are 3-1 in games started by leftys this season. Cards can level it 1-1.

SD Padres to beat LA Dodgers @ 1.99

Padres pitcher Jake Peavy has an amazing record against the Dodgers, he is 10-1 with a career 2.21 ERA against LA and was superb against them on April 5th. He allowed just one run on two hits with one walk in a 4-1 win and showed what an outstanding pitcher he is. The Dodgers have Brad Penny on the mound, he is a pretty decent pitcher but not in the same class as Peavy in my opinion, plus he allowed 5 consecutive singles in a 38-pitch first inning against the Padres.
