Time has come again when everyone's interest in the NHL steps up. Very open event this year no obvious choice. Detroit have the experience but are they too old to play night after night? Will the Crosby and the Pens cope with the new environment of playoff action?

For me the best looking team is Nashville. it has a star studded offence - Peter Forsberg on the 3rd line!! - and a very underrated defensive corps. throw in 2 goalies who can both get it done and its the basis for a very stong unit. similar to carolina last year incidently...

hmm, supposing they get past the still unknown quantity that is pittsburgh, they will face Buffalo in the Semi's. Built up a bit of a rivalry with them over the regular season and i think Buffalo had the edge. i think it will be a buffalo anaheim final myself

Even though it is against my playoff pool choices it will be Buffalo VS Detroit for the cup.

I know - I know... for a lot of you Ice Hockey doesn't mean much but for us Canadians it means the same thing as the NFL means to Americans and Soccer to the rest of the world.

The start of another round in the play offs offers renewed hope that one's team may actually capture professional sport's oldest prizes, Lord Stanley's Cup.

All the best to the 4 teams left;
BUFFALO VS OTTAWA

and

DETROIT VS ANAHEIM

Good luck boys.

For some reason I cant vote, but I think Buffalo have a great chance, if not Buffalo then Detroit will take it Wink

betking i only made the poll open for 2 weeks to give an indication of everyones early favourite. Now that it's now the final, i strongly fancy Anaheim even b4 there game 1 win. An extremely jammy goal gave Ottawa the 1 nil lead and that stunned Anaheim a bit but they soon recovered and absolutely dominated Ottawa 5 on 5.

My key to game 2 tonight are, Anaheim not to take the stupid penalties that almost cost them in game 1, limit Ottawa to 2 or 3 minor penalties and they should win this in regulation.

i guess the post is loosely related to hockey, and for the record that goalie nearly died, not something i want to see again.
