ABSOLUTE BANKER OF THE DAY.
Not being arrogant about this 1 pick but getting them at 1.75 on Betfair, and cant belive my eyes. Didnt get to grips with play offs but went (43-28-11) and improved its point total for the fourth straight season. Ilya Kovalchuk, Marian Hossa and Koslov are capable of bagging a few despite ALEXANDER the great they should easily take this one. Kari Lehtonen is growing in confidence and fancy Atlanta to win first game @ home, most home teams have been winning as of late.
My bet would be Atlanta Thrashers @ 1.75 on moneyline Wink
All the Best.

I think the Penguins look inviting at evs but not sure about this one at all. I think Carolina were unlucky in there first match and might wait to see how they do in first couple of road/home games. I know this is probably absurd but fancy Columbus Blue Jackets for some bizare reason, I watched them for last couple of seasons and always seem to be doing better each time.
Columbus returns a solid nucleus of both young and veteran players. Rick Nash, a 23-year-old left wing, had a team-best 27 goal The Blue Jackets also get back 37-year-old center Sergei Federov (18 goals, 42 points) and 32-year-old left wing Fredrik Modin (22 goals, 42 points).
Also fancy Vancouver to win @ home, back to back defeats for Sharks could be in order and stars look like a worthy punt.
Overall, my bets are Penguins, Columbus, Vancouver and Dallas on the moneyline.

Just briefly, I fancy Washington to turn over Atlanta. Lot of new offensive firepower coupled with Atlanta's loss of any form of 2nd line scoring.
