Lot of games on tonight but i've singled out one which i fancy, it Montreal at Ottawa
Ottawa have won 6 of their first 7 games while Montreal have only one 2 from 5.
Ottawa have the luxury of having Martin Gerber as a backup is is playing very well in the absence of last seasons playoff hero Ray Emery who is close to return from injury. Gerber will be looking to stamp his name on the number 1 goalie job, and continue his fine start. his recent form against Montreal can be ignored imo as he has looked a totally different player this season and for the first time in a few seasons he is getting a solid run thus gaining confidence.
In five games this season Montreal have scored only 11 goals (Rank 26)
while Ottawa have scored 22 in 7 (Rank 11)
After a solid 4 day rest i fancy Ottawa to take this one comfortably in reg |

Hi all. My tips for this night are:
Los Angeles Kings at Calgary Flames -- Calgary win @ 1.76
Calgary have a powerful defence and is a strong home team (the best team at home last year) and is 8 wins and a 1 tie in last 9 matches in Calgary vs. Kings. Inginla is on fire and has a strike of 16 goals and 11 assists in his last months.
New Jersey Devils at Philadelphia Flyers -- Over 5.5 @ 2.06
New Jersey defence was crashed yesterday again by Pens but they won the game with a great offence (11 goals scored in last 2 games). This year Flyers are better than last season in ofence, Briere and Gagne are the best pair in this begin of season.
Good luck |

OTT 4 - MON 3
PHI 4 - NJD 0
CAL 4 - LAK 3
Well collectively we got 2 out of 3, i'm starting to like the look of Philly this season they have really came on after last seasons feeble effort. Shutting out NJ is no mean feat, could we be looking at a Pittsburgh style turnaround for Philly? |

Yes.
And it will come at the cost of the Sabres and the SE division. Biron is a top-tier goalie and took many of Buffalo's Ws with him. It can be argued the Sabres traded the wrong goalie, but management there is very adversarial and cheap, taking their players to arbitration on a regular basis. The result is they lost all their big money players, downloading the onus to L Ruff to produce wins.
SE division looks so weak, I expect only 1 team to make the playoffs, as the NE and Atlantic divisions will cannibalize them for available wins. |
