Ivory Coast to reach the QF of the World Cup.
You may think i'm insane(possibly!), but i honestly think they will do a lot better than everyone thinks.
Its a long way off yet, but i was just wondering if anyone else had picked their long shots for the WC?
Also Sweden @ 40/1 has to be worth a little E/W _________________ Bad is never good until worse happens. |

Could be another Senegal??? Will win the odd match but are liable to play a stinker when they expected to win. _________________ "I think one of his greatest moments was when he broke wind loudly at the Crucible and then turned to the audience and said: "Who did that?"' - Bill Werbeniuk [Legend] |

Ivory Coast are shortest with Ladbrokes @50/1. They normally know a thing or two. Although I recall that last World Cup they went shortest on Slovenia who didn't get through the group stage.
My current plan is to back Germany after they mess up their first group game and double in price |

I backed France at 18/1 when they were struggling in qualifying. Zidane, Makelele & Thuram since come out of international retirement. With Henry in the team, I think they have as good a chance as anyone, apart from Brazil.
I'd never underestimate the Germans. Regardless of how they're performing they have a proven track record as a formidable tournament team.
As for a Dark Horse, Czech Republic at 33's. Impressive as any European team in last few years. |

cant argue with you there GvG about FRANCE especially at 18/1 good price take there, they will definately be up for it after there last world cup campaign and the 3 coming back can only better your chances, maybe THURAM might get found out against pace, but get in there 8)
as for the czechs i think HOLLAND put them in there place at there own park also, anyway looking forward to it and should be quite interesting betting wise[match betting] with the asian countries and african countries and of course the OZZIES, make up for the ashes |

I`ve had a bet on Ukraine. I backed them to win their group and a lot of people think they are a one man team but when that man is Shevchenko your team must always be respected i expect them to suprise a lot of people and reach the quarte finals at least.
The Ivory Coast are a good team also they gave Italy a run for their money in the 1-1 draw in Geneva and Drogba ran the Italian defenders ragged. |

| well... i think everyone knows that the odds for brazil are fair to be honest... my fav dark horse is the czech rep. Yes, holland did put them in their place, but I do feel that they will raise their game (provided that nedved plays and is not injured)... i really fancy them over all the other dark horses. |

I agree with Zagreb, the Ukraine look very much like they could do something. They're difficult to break down, have a quality strike-force and are a generally well organised team. They remind me very much of Greece pre-Euro 2004, though whether they'll be able to continue this form against teams like Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, etc is debateable. _________________ Signatures are for losers! |
