Talking about team that might surprize you during the comming world cup I have two teams in mind.
1. Australia, will be very motivated after a long absence from the world cup and with coach Guus Hiddink the have a man than knows how to get a team a long way in the tournament.
2. Paraguay, but this is just a gut feeling, they have some players that play in Germany.
3. Argentina, I think they will be on the plane home after the group stage like last time. They have some good players but are certainly not a team to be affraid of. |

I don't agree completely about Argentina. I think they have some fabulous individuals, its just whether they can get it together and play as a team. Riquelme, Heinze (if fit), & Tevez are fantastic players in there different positions and in young Messi (18) they have the best teenager on the planet. He is an absolute genius. There aren't to many players who I would make a point of staying in to watch, unless of course they play for my team, but Messi is right up there with Rooney, Ronaldinho, Henry, & Shevchenko.
This world cup may have come just a bit too soon but in 2010 I guarantee he will give a performance reminiscent of Maradona in 1986, literally dragging a team with his sheer brilliance to the final.

Serbia & Montenegro surely have an outside chance having only conceeded 1 goal in qualifying in a group with Spain and Belguim if they get thru their group to knock them out you would need to score and they are very well organised and at 101-1 if you back them from the start it gives you a big amount to Lay against them during the knockout stages! |

I wouldnt write off Argentina at all.
Dont forget they were beating England 2-1 with 3 minutes to go and England only turned it around when they took Riquelme off in the 84th minute when the job seemed to be done!
Had they left him on I firmly believe it would have been 2-1 |

I don't think Brazil have ever won in Europe..so on that stat I look elsewhere.
Germany (home soil) always seem to do well & I think they ae good value to lift the trophy. |

Turfway Lass, I think Brazil are the only team from outside of Europe to ever win a European staged World Cup. _________________ Signatures are for losers! |
