Yeah. France were awesome yesterday. This time they proved without a doubt they were better than brazil in my opinion (no more mystery virus or some other lame excuse etc.). They should be able to go all the way to the final in my opinion.

With regards to England, I agree with the comments. The 4 striker issue was pointed out way back in May and it proved to be the downfall. 4-5-1 against Portugal was the wrong tactic in my opinion... 4-4-2 would have been the right way to play in my humble opinion, but we all know that Sven simply would not drop either beckham or lampard... that was the sad bit. Every other successful coach was willing to drop players even if they had a strong reputation (e.g. You don't see klinsmann playing borowski ahead of frings or neuville ahead of podolski, france playing trezeguet ahead of malouda). Sven simply could not do the difficult but right thing.. Portugal won, and probably spared England from a sound beating by the french to be honest.... esp. when you consider that England had no more strikers available with the exception of crouch (since walcott was never going to play anyway).

wouldn't be surprised master, lucky to qualify, as in, they had to rely on the swiss doing them a favour against Korea, they were deffo the footie team we all no and they could just get better to finish the job off, should be a good last 4 games with the 3-4th place game to Fingers Crossed

Still rate Big Phil better than Parker Donnesch, or whatever his name is, could play a part Confused

Do you think Big Boumsong will get to kiss Barthez's head in the final Confused
