Beckham has just announced he has quit as captain of the England team but not quit international football.

Who do you think should replace him as England captain?

the results say it all at the moment, 3 out of 3 Votes for Terry, and about time too, Terry will make the best selection as he wears two hearts on his sleeve

I have to agree, Terry is the best man for the job.

I've never understood how a player can captain his country and yet not be the captain of his club. Confused

John Terry all the way. He leads by example and will be one of the 1st names down on the team sheet each match. Gerrard should be vice captain but has all on producing the goods for England so don't think he should be captain.

100% John Terry, aswell as being an amazing player his leadership skills are second to none.

Will be looking out for sites offering odds on the next captain.

Its got to be John Terry all the way.

You can get 7/4 for him to be captain and 2/1 for Gerrard !

BetDirect, Terry @ 1/2 to be next permanent captain. Their next game is in August and i dont suppose the price will get any better before then.

oh dear, tho i guess he's the popular choice for sure.
A bit too young for my liking, but i reckon he'll be a fantastic captain.

Gerrard is vice captain too. I think it's a good choice but would've been happy with either. Smile
