| 12 points profit for French Letters on spread tips page, up to 15 points profit on total goals. 27 points profits on top of yesterdays 159. 186 points profit in two days not to be sniffed at! |

| Many conspiracies already starting. I was reading just before about how Zidane was a great example of a moderate muslim, so i wouldnt mind betting it was summat related to that. |

echoing above, what was zidane thinking!!the greatest player of my generation, with a quater of the planet watching . at least it makes rooneys attempts at grape crushing fade into the background i suppose ..good shout levytation and alfie! it wasnt a classic final by any means but i bet it will be remembered lol. now that the italians have got over their penalty aversion maybe next time england will?!? roll on 2008 where england win the world cup on penalties.....now wheres my medication? _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

I've got a strong hunch that this could be 1-1 after 90 mins, so I'm going to dutch the following:
Italy ht / draw ft @ 14/1
Draw ht / draw ft @ 3/1
France ht / draw ft @ 14/1
1-1 after 90 mins @ 6/1
I'm also going to do the following 'Extra Time Specials':
Italy to win in extra time @ 9/1
Italy to win penalty shoot out @ 13/2
France to win in extra time @ 9/1
France to win penalty shoot out @ 13/2
My main stake will be on Draw ht / Draw ft...if it goes to plan and is a draw after 90 mins the profit from the 'extra time specials' will then start to kick in

Not a bad evening's work
I also got on Italy @ 10/1 to lift the World Cup just after they had beaten Ghana after I'd read about the '12 year cycle' that somebody had posted on here (many thanks to whoever that was!) _________________ FAC51 The Hacienda...back in the day, it's where it all started |

According tovarious sources, materazzi (spelling?) has caused reaction on the pitch for saying certain things to certain players before?
My view;
if it was racial, then zidane did the right thing (even if it was infront of billions) what was said to zidane was clearly something he could not control and felt was worth more than a football tournament. afterall, there are bigger things than football - morals, etc.
i guess we'll see when zidane makes a statement/fifa investigates. |

i can see your point yoyo but still you cannot defend that, regardless of what is said by materazzi, surely the best course of action is to respond by banging in a goal and not by sticking the nut on him lol, the funny thing is that the ref and his linesmen never saw zidane go vinnie jones but sent him off anyway and it is presumed that the fourth or fifth official tipped him by radio however the same officials must have seen materrazi tweaking his nipple and being alledgely verbally abusive so why let it go out of control ??? _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

true, but they were 'chatting', with 70k fans you aint gonna hear. according to a few people on forums, the nipple pinch is "probably the worst insult because of it's homosexual connotations (the death-penalty is applicable). Materazzi makes it worse by standing behind Zidane and whispering something in his ear. Zidane laughs at this, probably because he's in shock that Materazzi knows the implications of his actions, being Italian. Zizou walks off, with pent up rage at the brink of exploding, but Materazzi won't give up and racially abuses him even more. Couple this with Zidane's ghetto upbringing, and his struggle away from it. I'm not an Arab, so my explanation is probably only the tip of the iceberg...imagine how a French-nationalised Algerian must feel.""
god knows, but the above could be true. |

absolutely, to cross moral and religious boundaries is unacceptable but in afootball match, no the WORLD CUP FINAL in extra time, surely you would wait until the final whistle and then needs must lol, surely secure the glory first as you have to be aware of the responsibility of your team and nations hopes and dreams, zidane im sure will regret that whole heartedly regardless of what materrazi did or said and for this i feel for him, the magic he has given the football purist absolutely deserved a more glorious moment on the world stage. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

Great shout Levy (as usual)
The one thing I noticed is when the final comes to penalties, the better team of the day usually loose them. Take Juve-Milan final CL for example or Milan-Liverpool, Arsenal-Man Utd (final of the FA cup two years ago) and yesterdays final. It is nothing much really just a small remark. Congrats Azzuri! |

| Looks like ZZ will win golden ball still. That will be a bit of a farce, but most of the voting took place b4 final. |
