|
|
| At a very rough guess, I would say I have lost around £120 on the Roulette machine in my local William Hill Casino. I really don't know what to do now. I have money as it's Christmas so I don't know whether I should lump my money in the roulette to win some of it back, get some tips on here for the football and racing or just quit gambling. Help please. |

This will sound short and sweet
If you dont know the answer, then give up gambling. (for the short term at least), (for thelong ter, if you cant afford to lose that sort of money),
Believe me, in the great sheme of things an the average Betting Shop roulette player, you have lost peanuts. (take it from a guy who knows, and would happily chuck £100 a spin away a few years ago).
If £120 isnt peanuts and is more than you can afford to lose then, jack em in. Remember they are there to take your money, and as few would tell you you can win from the machines, always its a fixed odds game where the bank always has the edge, thus in the long term, you cannot win, unless of course you stop when you are up and never lay a finger on the touch screen again.
Have a good look round the boards here and you will find some very useful tips for this gambling game.
The best bit of advice i ever haad, was never gamble, sure place bets, but never gamble.
Give that some thought. It wasnt explained to me, but the answer to my own questions dawned on me one day, and i havent gambed since, ive had a bet ut not gambled

This is precisley my point. I would say dont have another "bet, "gamble" untill you understand the difference.
It may take a while but when it comes, its like a light coming on in your head.
The have a bet by all means

I think MoB is picking up on your choice of laguage which Im not sure if what you are interested in
Essentially if Im understanding him correctly hes saying dont put money on unless you have a strong reason to think you will win
With casino play the odds are stacked against you and no system can protect you from that so while you may get short term luck, in the long term and on average for each play you will lose. |

So if you don't study the form you are gambling.
If you study the form you are betting.
A very pedantic Christmas to you too MoB.
Until horses start reading form and always run up to that form every race then its all GAMBLING.
We try to promote SENSIBLE GAMBLING here, but no one should be under the illusion that its not GAMBLING |
