I'm very proud of myself
Just fancied taking a bit of a risk. Put €50 in the roulette wheel. Played 2 seperate €25 even money bets, won both, and withdrew the original €50, plus the €50 profit strait away (for a change!)
Seems to me the best way of making money outta the wheel is to play a couple of bets and quit either way, if you keep going they'll take your profit off you.
Any thoughts ?

In another forum I said I used to sit of in bookies and pubs watching people get a good few quid up then throw it all back in plus a load extra .
Then go in and make a good few quid after they had left the machine by throwing in a few pound and making a profit of about 40+ pound and then bowing out . The problem is with the roulette and the fruit machines is that people forget that they are profit operating machines (the roulette has windows as its operating system). The greed takes hold and back they go looking for the big score. Pure psychology. |

I think it's better not to start at all, in my opinion . |

At some point you'll lose enough times in a row to not have enough in the bank for the next bet...
It'll work with an infinite bank I believe... |

It's not 50/50 due to 0/00 and also, although it's unlikely, if you keep playing, you will eventually have a long losing streak. If you're only making £1 every time you restart the system, you'll have to play a LOT to make alot of money.
Someone wrote a much better explanation when another punter proposed this idea... |

| Its prob the most commonly mentioned system, and it will win for u most of the time if u have an unlimited bankroll. Not really much point doing it for £1 profit (or wotever yer initial stake is). Casinos are very sophisticated and can of course spot when people use systems. They would prob be happy enough to let u do that as u arent gonna bankrupt them. Ultimately its a way to bankrupt yerself. And u can bet that when u have run out of money yer bet will come up next spin! |

| What the maximum bet you had to place at any time, and would be willing to risk that on a real money bet with a c.50% chance of coming in? |

In european roulette the house has an edge of 2.7% - u may not think that much but they WILL win in the end.
Long streaks of constant reds/blacks/odds/evens happen. I bet if u look at a days spins u will find big streaks again and again.
U can win again and again and get very addicted to the money coming in, but remember this. U only have to have one bad streak to completely wipe u out.
I guarantee there are a load of poor (even homeless people) who once said "I cant see that happening". |

| I believe 8 losses in a row is about a 1/256 chance. If you need 50 wins a day to make £50 a day, you will get about 1 loss every 5 days. So it IS "unlikely", but if you'll be playing as much as 50 goes a day, your money will run out... |

If you play trying to win £1 each time, a row of 8 losses costs you: £(1+2+4+8+16+32+64+128)=£255.
Would you risk doubling your loss?
I think your head is right in this case... |

If u r that bored with having £4k a month and wanna throw it away, I can suggest some other options?
Consider the time and effort as well. |

Ive noticed this too, its a generally good method.
However if u look at red/black alternates you will notice that it more often stays the same colour than alternates, so i think double up on the colour last out is a better system. Ive tried it on machines aswell, and it does work MOST of the time. You just ahve to take small profits often, reducting risks of a loosing run. |
