|
|
i joinned skybet the other day and accidently joinned the casino bit as well.
so i thought i'd have a little dabble.
it was then that i learnt how the [no swearing u naughty boy] rope you and how with discipline i could have taken £100 easily.
i took in £20 and played 3 card stud and caribbean poker. on both I was winning with my £1 and £2 bets constantly and after very little time I had turned my £20 into £100.
I then played again and the losing began and I ended up down to £50. I went to bed cursing myself for not cashing out at least half my winnings when i got to £100.
Today i continued and lost the lot! hands were rediculous all the time i was getting either only card highs, being beat by higher hands when i did get something or the dealer wasn't qualifiying when i was getting straights and flushes!
This is clearly how the place is set to run with it giving you a good session of hands to bait you in then knocking you back down.
what i'd like to know from anyone that plays on online casino's frequently is if all casino sites kick off like that.
If i went and played at a new site every week would i be likely to have a good run of the bets for a bit before it turns on you?
am i just being paranoid about how corrupt the thing is? |

| No it happens all ways in my experience - you just tend to remember the stuff where it goes against you more |

yeah your probably right.
If i had been diciplined i would have walked away with a nice little profit that would cover any future losses from the cash but I didn't!
i'll definately make sure i hit the cash out button next time! |

problem with walking away is that you get bored stiffed. Won $400 in blackjack @ atlantic city within 30 mins of arriving. decided that was probably going to be as good as it gets for the day and to walk away. Spend next 3 hours walking in around total misery bored stiff lmao.
reckon that it should be easier to walk away when playing online.

Casino's for me are risky, well online anyway. At totalbet's website, I play pool all the time. So much opportunity.
The rules are in your favour so long as you are rated as a rookie:
-It is always your go, even after you break/hit the opponents ball/miss the ball/hit the white in. Always your go
The grounds that totalbet win on is:
-if you're on the black, and after selecting a hole for it to go in, if you don't get any balls in (but u don't hit the cushion either) you lose. That screwed me up a couple of times.
-And of course usual pool rules, i.e. hitting black in with white, hitting black in wrong-selected pocket etc.
But I've managed to turn a straight £10 into £18.40 in one week (through total pots like £1.80 and 3.60).You can gain good practice not only at there site but also at yahoo.co.uk in their games portal.
Its addictive tho and if you have a run of 3 I always quite while i'm ahead.

The other real downer is that for those games where you do have a chance of winning like blackjack the only way to do well is to play in a total formulaic way which is as boring as hell.
I think for most of us we get a buzz from taking risks and if you do that at a casino then its not going to be pretty |

you know what's the strange thing? I did exactly that and played taking risks and gut instincts for a change once. I got told off after 10 mins by another punter on the table. He said that I was bringing the whole table down by taking too many cards and that the table had to play as a team to make the dealer go bust etc. etc.... he told me to go and read up on the basics!
needless to say, it was kinda embarassing to be told off in front of everybody.

| Yeah Aye theres a real casino ettiquette isnt there about playing to the percentages yourself in the belief that if you dont it will help the dealer, whereas in reality even with an extreme card count I cant see how it can have any impact with the sequence of cards being unpredicatble. |
