What worries me is when that nag gets through and wipes out months of hard earned profit, i can see the attraction of laying 40/1 and earning simple money,
when watching the Titanic film one of my favourites, a guy on there said its impossible for the ship to sink and to my amazment it sunk, and before it left Britain someone layed it at 1000/1 that it would not sink and guess what the rest is history, |

LOL, yup true story that!!
The idea is hopefully you can earn more than 80.00 whilst doing this. Perhaps
just try it if you're 10-20 down for the day & you want to reclaim what you've lost. As it'll only be every now & then you have an even slimmer chance of this going against you. |

Out of interest how long would/should you trial (paper trade) a system/approach/technique, for before having some confidence of its profitibilty and or repeatability? 100 goes, 1000 goes a whole season?
Cheers,
Tinx. |

Please tell me i am reading this wrong!!!
You are advocating a laying system based on nothing more than what letters are in a horses name!!!
In your many attempts at justifying this i am also reading a lot of "Maybe's" and "Hopefully's". This whole system is based purely on luck. The day will surely come when all the wrong results will come around and you will be staring straight at an empty betting account.
THIS IS SHEER LUNACY GENTLEMEN |

Hi Folks,
I know that this is lunacy - Hence the name - Mad/Crazy system. However, 98 percent of systems do not work so it kinda makes sense to try something 'against' the norm. I use this system myself against a liabilty of just 40.00 when I'm 5-10 pts down for the day. I've reduced 60.00 pts worth so far by just doing this. Just always make sure it's between 7 & 12 horses.
I can assure you though that it does work very well but please make sure you do both of these things:
Make sure you can afford 100.00 pts before even attempting for worst case scenario.
secondly, choose a random month from last year, PAPER TRADE it for a month recording the info on a spreadsheet (This will take some time unfortunently) & see how it pans out. Without recording the details on a s/sheet & just recording the daily / profit loss this has been profitable on most days.
If you'd like, somebody please suggest a month to me & I'll record a s/sheet for that month & will send to anyone remotely interested.
There is no golden egg in the world of gambling - But as most folk consider this to be a 'hobby', don't all hobbys cost money?? Also, that word - TO GAMBLE!!
Would folk be interested if I were to start a new thread & record the details for a day to day basis for a week or so?? |

Hello (Doommeister) Mark,
A quickie reply to your earlier post.
I did okay, I am not sure how to reply because there is always someone out there that will shout "After-timing", still here goes and what the hell.
It was a funny day, in so much a I had to go out all afternoon and had no option but to try my luck "early doors" and to be very honest it was a nerve jangling afternoon, in round figures I stood to win just under £30 but my liability was £500 or thereabouts. I said to my wife that I did not want to get home until dark so that all racing would have finnished and I would not have to listen to Betfair commontary.
I was having problems with Betfair before I left with unmatched bets being "void" (I have found out this happens every time there is a non runner), I digress, but I did leave some bets unmatched and just hoped for the best.
I had no need to have worried, there was one N/R and 2 unmatched, happily the remainder lost and I won £20, this takes me to £40 in two days.
However, I did suffer a bout of nerves as I was placeing 40/1 bets seeing liabilitees of astronomic proportions and never went through with to top 5 point stakes (balls of steel, huh, I don't think so) and dropped to £3 from £5.
I have another 1/2 dozen possibles for tonight should the early prices start to become a little bit sensible.
Talking of sensible prices, I will mention that t could be worhwhile looking at "Odds Checker" for some guidance, I found it to be a huge help this morning when I could have layed at some very silly prices but found the high st. bookies prices offered me some direction.
That's my thought for the day.
Good luck to All,

Hi Homeinaflat,
YOU HAVE SERIOUSLY WORRIED ME!!
'in round figures I stood to win just under £30 but my liability was £500'
Please, please always place your bets 1 race at a time, if you take too many hits - JUST STOP USING THE SYSTEM!! (This is what I plan to do should this happen)
I know it's a risky system with not much value but you do need to at least have access to the results. If you were 200.00 DOWN would you carry on or would you stop?? As with anything in life, there is no certaintly of a profit.

Hi (again) Doomeister,
You say I have got you seriously worried, try being in my shoes.
No I am only joking when I say that.
I did say it was a funny ol' day and I did want to get a few bets down and simply just had to go out. You ask if I would have carried on should I have taken a couple of hits, had I been laying one at a time and I think the answer is NO. In truth would stopping have been the right thing to do? If I had stopped I wonder if I would have ever re-started but I doubt if I would have taken TWO hits, perhaps we shall never know.
Let me jst say or even repeat what I think I said somewhere earlier, I am not using your alphabet system. I have certainly taken some elements of it plus also bits regarding staking then put them in a hat, gave it a good shuffle, tossed it into the air and then played around with any parts that did not stick to the ceiling, thus making my own system. It is all credit to you for and thank you so much giving me the idea(s).
Endebted to you,

LOL - I won't feel so guilty now if it all goes pear-shaped!!
A staking system is a good idea - perhaps 2.00 for 12-20.00, 2.5 21-30, 3.00 for over that??
Best of luck & keep us updated - Hey if you do really well, perhaps produce your potential lays on here for us all to see??
Keep it going!!

Good evening Doommeister (Mark),
I am not sure if I can post Lay selections as it is so unlike betting selections, in so much as unless the price is obtained and the Lay made it is only "pie in the sky".
This has been one very big problem with the Maria scenario, she has made many jealous enemies who simply do not believe she obtained the prices claimed, in fact if you did read all 130+ pages you will have noticed some very sharp inquisitors trying to trip her up.
I am very careful what I post having fallen foul a couple of times and been "Red Carded" which is not a nice experience.
Give me a little time and if I have not got the shot-gun out I am sure my ego will make me render a few postings but without prices and leave it up to readers to make what they will of them.
I have tried out your email address ? ? ? please let me know if it worked.
Oh so obligated to you.
