Hi Man O Bong,
Using a combo of the Racing Naps (Bottom half table only) & the selections from The Daily Mail, I had 22/1 winning lays today - £3.00 stakes = £53.00 profit
This is what I do:
1) Scratch any duplicates from the 2 selections - This is a highly fancied horse.
2) If 2 selections then go for the lowest odds, but if within 0.50 then go for the highest odds. (so 3.00 + 8.00 go for 3.00 - or 3.5 + 3.8 go for 3.8)
3) Check The Daily Naps table - If there is an entry in the bottom half of the table then select this & disregard the Mail's. If The Naps match up any selection from the Mail then choose the 2nd Mail selection.
4) R Goodfellow selects just 1 entry for some meetings. Do the above, but if no matches for that race then just go for his selection. (He only ever gets 1/2 correct in 7)
5) Odds MUST be between 1.91 - 4.00 for £3.00 stake, 4.1 - 7.00 for £2.50 stake, 7.1 to 10.00 for £2.00 stake. Increase your stakes by just 10p per £10.00 made (1 percent) decrease by 10p every £10.00 lost (Down to your starting stake but no less)
6) Make sure at least 7 runners in the pack.
7) You'll profit at least £10.00 per day & would be Extremely unlucky to be down.
Hope that's made a bit of sense - paper trade it for a few days & see how it works out for you. one paper predicted 1 correct from 26 selections!!
Whatever you do, don't try this with The Mirror - Too accurate for it's own good!!

Hey MoB,
I was wondering if you are still available to discuss/analyse systems? Its just that I tried to devise a rather complicated system for horse racing, which seems to be giving SR of 40-50% atm, and knowing little about Horse Racing, I believe someone can greatly improve it.
If you are happy to listen to the algorithm in question, just basic stuff, I'd be happy to email you something.
Like I said, its a very basic yet complicated thing, and as a veteran, you might not appreciate it straight off, but results are worth looking into, and seems to be giving daily profit (albiet a bit small still). Its only be tested for 3 days btw, and I am happy to run it for a couple more weeks to provide basic results if need be.
Thanks _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |

First off let me know the criteria and i'll run it over a couple of years as a minimum just to see howits stacks up,
i usually go back from 2002 onwards they seem to show profit in the early years and then tail off towards the recents times, this is usually down to the fact that in my experience they only last a couple of years anyway, although i have found a number that continue to give us profits.
Post the criteria up or PM them and i'll look into it if i can. _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs

Sure, I will try and pass something along today. But like I said, its open to discussion/alteration and is perhaps very basic in nature. _________________ Numbers and me, Its a love-hate relationship. I love them, they hate me! |

we'll look at the basics first,
the main thing i need is flat or NH
handicaps or stakes.
these two things speed things up massively,if we can seperate them first its a start,
then distances, ages, class, race types, going etc. _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs

That seems interesting and would be vairly easy to run through.
I'll run through last season, first and if it looks like it has promise,i'll run it back further.

After doing 2007 to see how this looks, as i have stated, there is some interesting figures in there, o i have now started on running it through 2002, to date.
At present i can tell you that it worked out pretty level for 2002, and 2003 is actualy looking quite good at this stage, although most of the profit has come from the early part of the season.
I'm pretty sure this could be showing profit over the period, but with a little subtle tweaking we could find some nice angles here.
Oooh! i do get excited when i see a plus in my final column, spec when its double figures _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs

Looks like 2003 was a good year, running through may 2005 now, and we seem to have lost some ground, havent been watching all the way through so not quite sure where it dissapeared to, but on lone qualifiers we have a figure of +7.96 to £ 1 stakes (21%SR) 325 qualifiers, so there will definatly be something to take out of it. _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs

I'll produce full figures for all qualifiers and outline the LONE qualifiers too.
Then take a look through and from experiance should be able to highlight where some tweaks can be made. I will only tweak slightly as too much backfitting will give us great looking retunrs but wont be realistic going forward.
Be back later _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs

BTW it has taken a huge drop through 2005,
always the case, looks good early on, then fades, never mind there could still be something here.
Its a rolercoaster this old systems thing, juts got to find one going up, thats all _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs
