I had to growl today when I received another Golden Egg laying system email which showed tremendous profits laying at bookie SP. Theres seems an amazing amount of ignorance about laying despite all the OLBG threads and the OLBG school. Only bookies can Lay at bookie prices, with their built-in 20% profit margin, all us other mere mortals have to Lay at exchange prices.

Laying at bookie prices = road to riches Win

A totally useless thread Lose

lol @ Earl Grey Laughing

Bookies make money by laying favourites at under value. However they can struggle in the short term at least if lots of favs win

I bet theres not a single bookie ahead on Euro 2008 yet what with all the favs bar France coming in.

Ok. Let's rephrase the problem a little to make the thread less useless.

If if can Lay a fav horse at an exchange at shorter odds than the bunch of bookies offered early day, would this be a good idea generally ?
Or rather a bad idea, as it is now clear this fav is a true fav ?

The other way around ... if the price on a fav drifts, should i conclude it is a false fav and decide to Lay it ? Or should i avoid laying it now as the price is now corrected and the value is gone ?

Or still rephrased in another way :

Should i try to anticipate price movements as early as possible ?

Or should i wait as long as possible and let all market forces work before i finally decide to Lay or not to Lay ?

Or should i non stop be looking for indications the price will go one way or another ? ( full time job Very Happy )
