Total Goal / Goal Line

Hello,

I noticed in the 'Manchester United v Roma' match:

Total Goal:

Under +2.5 [1.7]
Over +2.5 [2.1]

Goal Line:

Under +2.5 [1.75]
Over +2.5 [2.14]

Can you please tell me what the difference is between these bets?

No difference except that the higher prices gives higher value. It is strange that you often see the same bookie giving different prices for the same bet.

another thing bout it is goal line is generally set by asians and they offer 10/11 odds rather than the 5/6 we often see over here.

Thank you for your replies.

If no difference and I wanted the match to finish more than 2, I would bet:

Goal Line:

Over +2.5 [2.14]

Cannot see anyone touching the 'Total Goal' prices.

Profitman,

The Total Goals overs/unders + 2.5 is a set figure and only the odds will change according to the weight of money(WOM).

The Goal Line odds will change slightly but the WOM can also change the Goals figure i.e from +2.5 to either +2.75 or +2.25 depending on the betting.

I think thats right but someone will correct me if I am wrong.
