Betfair matching?

Hey...

Just a quick question if anyone knows regarding Betfair. Who actually matches the bets?

I'm guessing it's matching bets with other people who are betting on the oppsite outcome than you are. The reason I ask is I placed a bet on a football game to be a draw, but it took a little while for it to be completely matched, even though the bet amount was small.

You are matching bets with other Betfair punters. Btw if you dont like the prices on offer you can enter another price that you are happy with and see if it gets matched, but that will obviously not be matched as quickly.

e.g If you want Arsenal to win the Premiership and the best price you can see is 4/1 you can ask for 6/1 and see if someone will match it.

Thanks for the info.

Earlier I placed a 10pt bet which was partially matched, then a few minutes later it was fully matched.

Now there is definately people on here that place far higher amounts down. Do you sometimes not get your bets fully matched at the current odds offered?

I was happy with the current odds, just checking really what happens to those who stake higher.
