Yeah this is an example of where you learn from your mistakes and carry on, i did something similar to that about a year back, i had however withdrew my initial deposit and so was playing witht he bookies money which doesnt hurt so much if you lose. This is why it is important to have a staking plan and stick to it. Everyones will be different depending on the type of bet however whatever you plan is the most important thing is to stick to it. I am also a student so i know how it feels. Its really only £50 you lost if you think about it so dnt worry bout it, there is always tomorrow.

Best of luck

Its like every aspect of gambling, if you cant control it you will lose, if you set your limit and have the power to stop when you hit it then you will be fine.

Sorry but I need to burst this bubble. Fine implies "in profit long-term" Shocked

I would imagine that very few people (<5%, just to avoid too much controversy!) can beat a 105/130% book long-term Confused

Unless by "fine" you mean you will avoid the bankruptcy court? Which I guess raises the success rate to 90%+

Just a bit of advice here ok?

Do NOT get involved with on-line casions at ANY COST!!!!!!

Without going into too much detail you will LOSE big time!

I have to disagree here. You CAN lose big time - but if you do lose big time, its the punter's fault for betting "big time" in the first place.

It IS posible to make money from online casinos, but you must stop when you're ahead, especially if you have a lack of discipline - like I did a few years back.

Im speaking from my best/worst experience of online casinos, from starting with a deposit of just £50, to being over £9k UP....before eventually ending up with just £300 up when I quit. This was over the space of about 4-5 days. And yes, Ive been kicking myself ever since.

I'll get a thread up later with more detail if anyone's interested, as I dont want to take this off topic too much. Could throw in the second part of my "lack of discipline" story too if I do LOL

http://www.online-betting-guide.co.uk/forum/topic2_14546.html

rather than repeating it on this thread.

I've had a very screy but ultimatley enjoyable experience that i had to bring to a close before it went very badly wrong.

To find out what happened, and if it eneded in tears click the link. I think there is a lesson contained therin for anyone who plays casinos of any kind

Liverpool have to be the most unpredictable outift in the history of football.

I would advise all future bets on Stoke City matches, not perfect, but as near as your gonna get.

I was reading this thread and saw this and absolutely had to reply. I offically hate stoke, just the other week I had £1000 on them thinking it was a sure bet (my own stupid fault) and they lost it was when they were playing bottom of the league.

Man o Bong, just read your fantastic week article and I must say it has inspired me a lot. At the time I got hooked on the machines I had money to burn in my back pocket and I had £1 on numbers with £2 all around it, winning big when I actually won. Now I don't have much money and if there is something like £20-£40 in the credit meter I feel I can't take it out as it's not a "big win". Hence I lose it all. But I must say now I feel very stupid from the sort of gambling I have been doing. Chasing my losses, putting stupid amounts in the roulette mahcines and doing stupid bets on the horses and whatnot. Tomorrow is the start of a new week and tomorrow will also be the start of a new betting strategy. I feel utterly stupid at what I have become and I am determined to change. If I win then I will spend it on something good for me or my family. And if i don't win then it was just a small flutter and I can't be far away from a good win. That article may have just changed my life Man o Bong and if it proves in future months that it has then I owe you as many pints as you like!
