|
|
I have been trying out a new correct score system on premiership games only with low stakes to start of with.
Pick 10 matches and place £2 on each match for correct score which is £20 altogether. If you hit at least 2 out of 10, then you should make a bit of profit. Here was my bets this week.
Man Utd 2-1 Villa
Chelsea 1-0 Boro HIT AT 6/1
Bolton 1-2 Arsenal
Liverpool 2-0 Everton
Pompey 2-0 Wigan HIT AT 8/1
Spurs 1-3 Newcastle (ALMOST)
Reading 2-1 Blackburn
Derby 1-1 Fulham
Birmingham 1-0 Man City
Sunderland 2-1 West Ham HIT AT 9/1
TOTAL STAKE: £20 TOTAL RETURNS: £52
£32 PROFIT
I think it is quite good.
What do you lot think?
Any feedback would be well appreciated.
Thanks |

Looks like you got the HIT on the Liverpool game as well.
Good going though. |

pretty good going,
I personally think it's a throw of the dice trying to predict correct scores tho.
Good idea if you like it tho |

i take a number of things into account when predicting the scores. here are some of the main reasons:
past meetings
current goals FOR
current goals AGAINST
Quality of a teams attack and defence
Recent form
Player's team preferences.
I know every system has a flaw, so if anyone can see some in mine, I would welcome some feedback.
Thanks |

| i was meant to have arsenal down as 3-1 winners, however, didn't happen anyway, so bad start. |

ok bad week, but i was hurt by a couple of 'strange' results.
Blackburn vs United
Boro vs Bolton (really surprised me!)
I personally think this system will work best during the middle of the season, during games 10-30 as every team probably will have something to play for and i will have enough statistics to collate.
I will try again next week, but won't be surprised if i get same results. |

Every week at work we do a Premier League Predictions comp, the winner usually only scores around 10 points (3pts for correct score, 1pt for picking the winner or a draw). Thats from around 15 people playing.
One guy got 19 points one week which was 6 correct scores, you'd get back about 60grand if you did a quid per line on sixfolds from 10.
But that was once in a season.
Your idea to do it as singles is probably better. But still, you'll never make money from it.
The lot on the Betfair Soccer forum do it too, check out how frequently they hit and see if any of them would be in profit if they bet their predictions.
I'd doubt it. |

the winner got 3/10 (12 points) and he beat lawro (bbc website) who got 10 points and 2 correct scores.
i think i heard a story bout a bloke who won £180 grand by sticking a quid on a 10 fold accy on the last PL fixtures from last season, got every score right.
... bet he wishes he'd stuck a tenner on it! |
