It makes no difference whether or not Shearer gets the job for this to be a winning bet. Chris Mort has gone on record saying that no manager has been appointed and more information will be released in due course. This means that with Nigel Pearson taking charge of the Man Utd game it will take until at least after the weekend for any appointment to be made. During this time it is almost certain that enough money will be placed on Shearer for the bookies to panic and suspend the market - especially considering the impulsive reputation of Mike Ashley - which means a bet at 4/6 can easily be layed off on Betfair at 1.2 once people start jumping on the bandwagon. For me this is a no brainer and I'm honestly surprised that a market even exists for this appointment. |

if you seriously think that it's going to go as low as 1.2 does that not make the 4.8 on offer good value for trading? like you said, people will start jumping on the bandwagon. Backing @ 4.8 and laying off for an even profit whatever the outcome is a 3.84 shot if the odds do go that low. especially if you are confident it will go that low
