Finding winners on the dogs

I'm totally new to greyhound racing, but would like to get involved. What is the best method of selecting dogs. I know some people who only use times and stats to find winners.

Does anybody actually beat the DOGS!!

Here in Australia we use BOX % draws coupled with the 1st 4 favs.

A mate and I are looking for a UK contact re greyhound betting and handicapping.

We know little about the greyhound scene in the UK so perhaps someone could help us out re box draws etc at various tracks.
