OK, so maybe I am being a bit ambitious but why not hey!?
I am looking at laying greyhounds to give me my main income from Betfair, not my main income in my life (yet), just my main Betfair activity. I have been paper trading for the last couple of days, using the sheets from bookies to write all over, working at William Hill does have it's advantages, and I'm looking at coming up with a few rules to select my lays. I am hoping to select 1 Lay for each race and then select just 3 or 4 from the 40-60 each day to make a small % profit on my modest betting bank. Paper trading this evening gave me 14 out of 14 successful lays which is a nice start! I am going to look to study specifically 3 or 4 tracks to give me the best opportunity.
The main way I am selecting is just studying and identifying what I believe to be the worst dog in the race, irrelevant of price, and then checking results afterwards. There were a few outsiders that I selected but there were also some Fav's that got beat so let's see how we get on.
Wish me luck guys!!!! |

u r gonna need good luck, cos u r prob gonna be laying dogs at very high odds. in a field of 6 dogs, with a sport as whiffy as dog racing, an outsider can easily win. u can prob do 14/14 every other day and ull still be down overall with one or two rogue results. _________________ Positions now available in OLBG Lottery syndicate. 28 lines in each draw dramatically increases chances of a jackpot. I have already thought about the issue of laying at high prices. I plan to select a dog in at least 30 races and then check out the prices afterwards. This way I should identify at least 3 or 4 that can be layed at less than 5.0 on Betfair. I am not planning on laying a monster amount each day, if I can get a S/R in the region of 85-90% and am only selecting between 3 and 4 of my picks each day the chances of hitting the "winners" will be significantly reduced.
I am going to papertrade again this evening and probably tomorrow if I get time and then might start giving it a go next week for small stakes.
Anyway we'll see!!!! |

Have tinkered my system slightly and seem to be getting an 85% S/R over the last few days and it looks pretty good.
Hit some nice short Fav's using the system, 2 x 9/4's at Sheffield.
Again, probably just pick 2 or 3 a day, usually at night, that's when I'm at home and hope to start some success that way. |
