|
|
As there is not much greyhound activity on OLBG both on the tipping and forum side I will be putting up 1-3 selections a meeting to be layed.
I have a good sucess on Betfair laying greyhounds at romford as I attend every meeting and get the videos that help a great deal.
I was thinking about setting up my own laying line for romford but the liquidity avaliable wouldn't allow everyone to get on.
My first Lay for Wednesday 2nd January 2008 will be posted between 5-6pm and then 1 hour before the start of every meeting.
I will be keeping a table of my results.
Every greyhound with be layed to win £100 and no greyhounds will be layed over 5.0. The resulting SP will be made to the price I have managed to Lay the selection at.
Fingers crossed |

9:25 TRAP 2 DELLAS MORGAN
Dead railer Dellas Morgan is tonights Lay.
Flanked by pace both in T1 and T3 its hard to see the selection getting any sort of a run. The selection is a strong runner but will have traffic problems passing the up front runners.
Trap 1 Desperate Moment is an improving dog for Martin Wiley who is not the best of breakers at the London Road circuit but can show its normal dash to the first corner to hinder Dellas Morgans chance with Trap 3 Chomba Womba heading for the rails at the first bend with its normal early dash.
I expect the selection to be 9/4-5/2 with the on course layers and hope to Lay it around the 4.2-4.4 mark on Betfair but not over 5.0!

DELLAS MORGAN (£100 layed @ 4.9) missed the break but so did Trap 1. Chomba Womba showed great early dash to the bend following market support of 5/2-6/4.
Backers thought there selection was home but the strong running in Trap 6 Orlock Droopy turned handy and by the 4th bend the race was in the bag as Chomba Womba tied up and the Trap 6 runner went on to win by 1 3/4 lengths in 24.71
Winning Lays 1/1
Strike Rate 100%
Profit/Loss +£100
Next Selection Thursday 3rd January 2008 Romford BAGS. |

5.27 TRAP 2PORTMAGEE MASTER
Martin Wiley's PORTMAGEE MASTER is todays Lay.
A bang railer who likes to scrape the paint of the rails finds himself in the unsuitable T2 box. In race flanked by early pace I can't see the selection getting to the bend in front, with it being lottery from T3,T4,T5,T6 who will hit the front and there being the winner.
An impressive 9 from 36 in graded action from Romford with 2 from 13 in A2 grade but others have more scope for improvement in what is a poor typical BAGS A2.
The Trap 1 runner Escapologist is not the best of breakers but can on its day can put up a fight to the first bend, and Jim Reynolds T3 runner Secon Spectrum showing great improvement in its previous race, any sort of a run may see him return to the winners enclosure.
I expect the selection to be 11/4-3/1 and hope to Lay it around 4.6 which represents its true price.
GOOD LUCK ALL |

Thanks guys. Been doing Romford for a long time now but thought I'd post. But when you do, your bound to Lay a winner lol. But i'm a strong believer in laying is marathon and not a sprint.
The only downside in laying greyhounds on Betfair that your could be laying a 9/4 shot at 5.0.
I tissue all the races myself, as i think the bookmakers at romford are very very poor and often price up dogs in graded races much shorter than they should be. Im not complaining as this helps benefit me in laying dogs at my tissue price.
I did go through a stage of backing 2 dogs a race, over a period of time I was in front very small. Thats when i turned to laying.
GOOD LUCK ALL |

skippy with the bets going in so late how long before the off to place your bets?
I had a dabble on the dogs a few times and found the market was busy and very volatile for about 3 minutes prior to the off. prices can move around a lot in that time and without knowing what prices to expect like what you posting it's hard to know when the odds are looking sensible!
good luck and i'll be watching with interest! |

Not the best of starts to the month.
PORTMAGEE MASTER nanaged to get a nice clear run round as T1 didn't break as I had expected it to and run out a game winner.
Layed £100 @ 4.0
Winning Lays 1/2
Strike Rate 50%
Monthly Bank -£200
Next Meeting Friday 4th February 2008. |

Fairfranco
I make me own tissues up for each race, I ignore the prices coming from the track. When I feel happy with the price I will Lay it. The last winner I layed was 4.0. I was more than happy to Lay the selection at 3/1. It won tough #h17. Move on to the next race/meeting
I find with Romford there is one punter who controls Betfair market. This guy bets large 3 figure sums. He is happy to bet the dog at the average price.
When a dog is showing 3/1 on course he is happy to back it at 4.7 etc but also all the way down to 3.7-3.8 when the dog is still 3/1. This is when I become very suspicious and 8 out of 10 times the greyhound will win.
The only real advice i can give is to study one track. Get to know the dogs, trainers (which ones like a punt) and bookmakers.
Im lucky Romford is my track and every race is covered on Betfair.
GOOD LUCK |

Friday 4th February 2008
NO SELECTIONS TONIGHT.
Even though Friday nights programme consist of Open Races, I like to take on Romford Graders who might find themelves in Open Class and on most occasions are under priced.
Looking at tonights card, there is nothing I want to Lay and therefore No bet.
Next Meeting
BAGS Saturday 5th January 2008 (I have 2 lays lined up)
Evening Racing Saturday 5th January 2008
