Liverpool to win @ 2.35
Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League is never an easy proposition and Chelsea will know that. Both sides will be up for this one but in recent weeks its been Liverpool out of the two that has impressed me the host, barring a 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Bridge I cant remember a good Chelsea performance in recent weeks. Liverpool have been completley different in the league and in the Champions League and it will be great for Reds backers and fans that Steven Gerrard is fit for tonight. Liverpool have won their last 8 home matches in all competitions, including two in the Champions League against Inter and Arsenal. Chelsea played well in the first half of their last away match in Liverpool against Everton but second half they were poor, its been the same for most of their matches in the last 6 weeks or so. Its never a great game between these two and I expect a 1 or 2 goal game tonight but Liverpool at home is always a massive advantage and if anyone is going to score it will be them.
Under 2.5 goals @ 1.5
Liverpool v Chelsea never mind where its played is always a low scoring encounter. My mate said that there will be goals tonight because Liverpool will want to win this match, but one team will not score and neither will romp this one, so I just cant see a lot of goals. The last 7 matches between the two have been under 2.5, there have been only three goals in the six previous fixtures, with Liverpool winning 1-0 on two occasions and Chelsea by the same score once. I just cant see there being more than 2 goals I just cant. _________________ Read my Boxing blogs, previews of fights happening all over the World. Previews and tips on the wonderful sport of Boxing!

Thanks tomario for the explanation. Would steer clear from it by a long way, but I only have a option on betting under or over 95 minutes @ 1.8 and 1.9 respectivly. All in all quite interesting market and I like to experiment from time to time
Going with under as it should be a cagey match. Here's hoping for a few early goals, or one late goal now |

19:45 Liverpool v Chelsea
Liverpool @ 2.35
Liverpool european nights here are like no where else and a cracking gamecan be expected here in front of a loud and suppurtive crowd. Liverpool are coming into this playing some very nice football, while chelsea have slipped up at times. Gerrards back in side tonight and i would think rafa will get his tactics right from the off tonight. Lampard is likely to play but it seems drogba will miss out, hes the talsman of this side and so much of their game works off him. Thier 6 european meetings have all come in rafas time at liverpool their have been just 3 goals in those games, but unders is no banker tonight as under grant chelsea have played a more open and expansive game. I could see liverpool getting 1 or 2 goals here and its just a question of whether chelsea can get a goal. _________________ Check out my Euro 2008 preview

I'd be looking at Stevie G to get yellow especially if Liverpool at leading tonight as this would ban him from the second leg and clear him for the final.
A yellow in the second leg and hes out for Moscow _________________ FC United Of Manchester

two bets for me tonight, minimum stakes:
dutching 0-0, 1-0, 1-1, 2-1 @ about 1.7 which i think is pretty good value.
also taking liverpool at 1.65 on the corners match bet on Betfair.
tough match to call overall although i can't see chelsea winning. _________________ Corner vulture

| Just seen florent Malouda is starting for chelsea tonight, i think he look very good value for FGS or LGS at 21s or AGS at 8s. scored plenty of goals for lyon in the french league and playing on the left side of an attacking 3 including drogba and joe cole i feel he could pop up with a goal tonight. |

Liverpool v Chelsea
Looks like raffas won already.
Malouda playing he is so bad
and Hyppia isn't he is so slow
Aurelio and Arbeloa will have Malouda and Cole in their pocket.
5/4 (Liverpool win) is looking mighty tempting.
I still think the player who tries to get Gerrard or Lampard booked will be the first to be booked. So i stand by my earlier post.
Feeling very confident. _________________ Go on ! Fill yer Boots!!!

First of all, a big thank you to onaed for moving my post to this correct thread( new to these boards so still figuring my way around!)
Going back to business, the line up as of as shown by BBC Sport is as below:
Liverpool: Reina, Aurelio, Carragher, Skrtel, Arbeloa, Kuyt, Babel, Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Itandje, Hyypia, Riise, Benayoun, Crouch, Pennant, Lucas.
Chelsea: Cech, Ferreira, Carvalho, Terry, A Cole, Lampard, Makelele, Ballack, J Cole, Drogba, Malouda. Subs: Hilario, Shevchenko, Obi, Kalou, Alex, Belletti, Anelka.
Still a good bet on overs?
Couple of changes compared to the line up i've expected, with Carra back in his CB position and Arbeloa coming in at right back. Hyppia finds himself on the bench despite a couple of commanding performances this season.
For Chelsea, Malouda would probably starts on the left on what looks like a 4-3-3 or 4-4-1-1 formation. IMO, the trio of J.Cole, Malouda and Kalou(who would come on if Malouda's having a snooze) are good enough to worry the Liverpool full backs tonight. Now I'll say that haven't seen much of Malouda this season, but if he gets a nod in such a big game lets assume Avram Grant must have seen something in training recently about him that we're not seeing.
Still see at least 2 goals in this match tonight and although i'm basing my analysis that Chelsea would get at least an away goal today, I do hope its Liverpool that give Chelsea a good hiding tonight!
(would never forget the 0-4 loss at Anfield to Chelsea few years ago )
My Pick(after looking at line up): Over 1.75 Goals @ $.75 with BetInternet |

Just had a read up on this ref - it tells it you all in that he has HIS OWN WEBSITE - referees to the letter of the law so won't understand the 'english' way of things and overs on bookings looks a must.
He gave 7 yellows on saturday in a game that apparently was void of bad challenges!!
Also like Half with most goals @ 9/4 - covers the 0-0 and quite possibly the 1-1 _________________ AVFC - PROUD HISTORY, BRIGHT FUTURE

Firstly, as mentioned above it's worth getting involved in the corners match bet on Liverpool - simply nobody gets more corners than them at Anfield - it's been dropping all day, I got on a 1.7 but anything over 1.5 is worth investing in.
In fact Expekt have got Liverpool (-1) on corners at over evens - one of the best value bets I've seen in a while.
However, I don't think this is Liverpool's game. Liverpool have had their luck against Chelsea - remember that dodgey Garcia goal, penalties last year. Enough is enough. 1-1 today if not better for Chelsea and they'll do them at home 1-0.
Chelsea to qualify - 1.89. |

Liverpool Vs Chelsea - HOME WIN
Im going for Liverpool tonight.Weve all seen how they love playing in this comp and their recent results against Chelsea in this is good.Gerrard and Torres have a great thing going and are the two key men to help Liverpool reach the final.Chelsea havnt been in great form but have a fully fit squad out.I think it depends on which Drogba turns up tonight.Im a little suprised that Hyypia isnt playing and Skrtel is prefered but if Drogba plays as he has been recently they should be able to handle him.The atmosphere in Anfield will lift Liverpool and i think they will have a bit more to give tonight.Liverpool Win!
