Have gone for DRAW/CHELSEA (ht/ft) @ 7/1

Should be a tight game (and probably very boring) in the first half but I can see Chelsea nicking it at the end. Liverpool will start brightly but Torres will be well marked by Terry/Carvalho and I can see them soon running out of ideas. Chelsea will probably start to get a bit more adventurous in the second half and if they get a goal then I can't see Liverpool getting one back as Chelsea are one of the best teams around at defending a lead. Looking at the Liverpool line-up and only Gerrard would get into the Chelsea team - Torres v Drogba would be a close call in my book.

Over the 2 legs I can definately see Chelsea going through and they should make things easier for themselves by taking a 1 goal victory back to The Bridge with them. Wink

Liverpool Half time - 3.5 @ Betfair

I dont think Liverpool will qualify, however I do think they will be built up enough for this to nick an early goal and lead the first half. Chelsea should settle into the game by the second half and maybe pull out a draw or 1 goal loss and tidy up at home in the second leg.

Very good value bet so taking a nice punt on it.

Edit 1st Fantastic

This match has swerve all over it. I favour under 2.5 and Chelsea to qualify but both are too short at around 1.5. The best bet I can find it Chelsea to Finish runner up at 2.62 in the whole competition at Betfair, which is always layable once they reach the final. Anyone else find any value in this game?

Hi guys, just looking at the first card market... i think essien could be value @ 12/1 (BlueSq).

he always seems very strong into challenges and often gives away fouls and @ 12/1 it seems value in a game where as martin points out there isnt much value.

Good Luck

Chelsea Vs Liverpool - DRAW
Chelsea were very lucky in the 1st leg to come away with the draw and the away goal.In defence they look much more solid again, although they werent at their best against United.Liverpool must have been completely gutted after the 1st leg. They looked comfortable at 1-0 and could have extended their lead right near the end but then just after that, what was a great result for Liverpool turned into a great result for Chelsea with just a seconds lack of concentration.Chelsea have the advantage then going into tonights 2nd leg but you can never count Liverpool out of this comp. With Torres and Gerrard in the side you cant count them out of anything. It will be tough to go to the bridge where Chelsea hold an impressive record. They have kept a clean sheet in their last 8 games against liverpool at the bridge.Chelsea know that all they have to do is keep that run going to get through to the final so they will have a decision to make.Do they choose to play for the 0-0 or do they go looking to finish Liverpool off.Either way Liverpool know they need a goal and i think they will get it.Liverpools defence wont be at its best though with Aurelio out injured. They will have to shuffle it about a bit.I think Liverpool will get the first goal but with Chelseas home record im going for the draw.1-1
DRAW

A bet I fancy is either team to win on penalties. My online bookie is giving odds of 22/1 on either Chelsea or Liverpool to win on penalties. I deff fancy it being a 1-1 draw so instead of taking the miserable 5/1 for the correct score the 22/1 looks much better !

£10 Chelsea to win on penalties 22/1

£10 Liverpool to win on penalties 22/1 Win

Obvious bet again take the Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.5

Chelsea v Liverpool is always a pretty drab encounter football wise, 1st leg, 2nd leg, league match, it doesnt matter the quality of football isnt there when they play. Avram Grant has made this Chelsea team to be defensive and thats how Rafa Benitez has always set Liverpool up in the Champions League. The last 8 matches between the two have been under 2.5, while 9 of the last 10 matches between the two at Stamford Bridge have been under 2.5. I expect a 1-0 or a 1-1 scoreline.

I can see this one going to extra time, and possibly to penalties. The prospect of a goal-fest exists only in the minds of the deluded.

This will be very tight, and very possibly very dull, interrupted by perhaps 2 moments of individual brilliance.

1-1 - 6.0
Draw 3.10
Draw/Draw 4.50 (surely that is shocking value?)

Chelsea to win in Extra time 18-1
Liverpool to win on Penalties 25-1

They need to score once, then defend, defend, defend for whatever is left of 120 minutes, and are good enough to do both

cant see anything but a chelsea win here. Pleasant price and should be strong enough to get a goal and sit back on it without conceding. My selections are:

Draw HT
Draw/Chelsea
Chelsea Win
Chelsea 1-0
Drogba 1st goal
Under 2.5 goals

Chelsea v Liverpool

I have a feeling that Raffa will do the business tonight.
I think Chelsea will revert to type tonight and try and keep it tight and keep control of the ball and try and pinch something late on.
I would like to see Kewell or Pennant going at the right side of the Chelsea defence as i believe that will be their weakness.

My bets are :-

Liverpool to win 3-1 @ 45/1
Gerrard to score anytime @ 7/2
Gerrard to score 2 or more goals @45/1
Liverpool to qualify for the next round @13/8
Liverpool to score 3 or more goals in the match @14/1

Good luck with all your bets tonight Win

Difficult to find a decent betting angle in this match of any value, so going for Stevie G. to score anytime at 11/4 with free bet from Bet365. Torres will cause Terry et al. problems with bursts into the box, and judging by Terry's dirty antics in the first leg there's a chance. Let's hope, for Riise's sake, that the tie is settled other than a nil-nil draw. Come on you Reds!
