without doing much research I would have to plump for Luca Toni, he has been in great form in pretty much every competition he has played, his style suits the way Italy play, plenty of balls in the box and he is a threat with the ball at his feet or in the air.
Would also fancy putting small stakes on Adrian Mutu, Romania are a team who I could see doing a Greece and Mutu is a player in great form and is a threat from dead ball aswell as in open play _________________ Read my Boxing blogs, previews of fights happening all over the World. I havent seen the odds, but I would be happy to Lay Ronaldo for golden boot. Hes not prolific at international level, but will probably be a short priced favourite.
I havent looked at the way the draw goes, but off the top of my head I think Klose and Podolski of Germany are both good contenders. I expect Germany to have a good tournament anyway, and Klose is proven at this level. If Podolski starts all the games hes a possibility, as he'll be putting himself in the shop window for a summer transfer away from Bayern Munich.
Luca Toni is worthy of consideration, but Im not overly convinced Italy will do that well to be honest. |

Wouldn't have Ronaldo simply because I don't believe Portugal are good enough to win it this time around.
From an early glance 1 player who jumps out at a big price is France's Franck Ribery. Has had a fantastic season at Bayern and although he has only scored 3 in 25 appearances for France he does strike me as the kind of player who ups his game in the major tournaments. 66/1
As always though I wouldn't place any bets in this market until the eve of the tournament to allow for late injuries and the pre tournament friendlies to have taken place. _________________ If to want to read previews, bets and my ratings on the Eng Premiership, German 1.Bundesliga & Spanish Primera please visit my blog.

I would agree with the rest so far an single out Klose & Torres
Kloses got a great scoring record for Germany an proving in top international competetions, I think he will still be the main man for Germany. The player who they will be looking to for goals!
Torres hada pretty good world cup two years ago, an has showed us week in week out for liverpool, that hes a deadly finisher who can create hes own chances, that an the other players in the Spain sqaud that can create chances must give Torres a good shot!
Another one to watch out for would have to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Sweden, he's had a good season with Inter, Very skillful player whos got another good goal scoring record at international level!
I think if Trezeguet gets a starting place in the France team , he will score goals, another one thats had a good season! |

Had a quick look at who plays who, and assuming Holland can get out of their group (which also has Italy, France and Romania) then I'd consider a small bet on Klass Jan Huntelaar, hes had a fantastic season with Ajax, and plays regularly for Holland, I'd expect he'd be a decent price.
Anyone know the status of Van Nistelrooy? Is he still injured? Not been keeping up with La Liga much in recent weeks |

Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to return this Weekend after a knee op, but is likely to be on the bench, And is set to start the following week V Barcelona!
On the National front though, he hasnt been van basten 1st choice and isnt definate to start every game ! |

van nistlerooy is expected to be back for the finals
i agree huntelaar could be a good shout as well as torres,
torres should get plenty of chances to score with the way spain play and the players they have, you could probably say the same for holland too. the only slight concern i would have about them would be that spain and holland usually find a way to mess things up when they get to a finals |

It has to be Miroslav Klose in my opinion
I think Germany have the easier group and as long as he is a 1st starter when the competion starts he's got my vote
Also Germany has my vote to win _________________ 3rd in Copa America Comp

20 in 54 isn't a bad record. |
