Palace - Form is in their favour and they tend to play better against the better sides as their win at Stoke a few weeks ago showed. The only thing that puts me off the short odds is that in playing Watford, Hull are almost a shoe-in to make the final already.
Leeds - Best side in the division and have got a decent run of form at just the right time. A few weeks ago I liked the look of Southend but I think they have taken the foot off the gas a bit too early and only got two points in their last four games - at home to Northampotn and Port Vale!
Rochdale - This is the slightly dodgy one for me as I don't know much about League Two but want to keep an alround interest in my accumilator. Going on form really.
Combined odds are 28/1 on SkyBet |

I'm with Grahamstfc on this one.
Palace are absolutely flying at the minute, fair play to Colin for turning them around, as the team looked as poor as ANY Palacer team I've seen in the last 15-20 years early on this season. The form has come at the right time and I feel they'll ride the momentum to the Premier.
My top 2 tip Hull have fallen apart to a degree, Watford have taken it a step further and sellotaped the self-destruct button down totally, whilst Bristol City have been hit and miss of late.
Leeds are flying as well and with them playing a Carlisle team who SHOULD be up by now and are on a worrying slide, unfortunately I see no way through for Carlisle. Just seeing them walk off the pitch following there draw against Bournemouth told you everything about the frame of mind of the players. Southend have tailed off a bit with only a couple of draws from the last 4 games. Doncaster could be the danger to Leeds if they can get past Southend.
In Division 2 I fancy in form Rochdale to go up. I see Darlington being brushed aside, as the play-offs have come at the wrong time. Wycombe-Stockport will be closer, but I feel Stockport will have just enough to win it.
Palace, Leeds, Rochdale treble about 26/1 |

Hull - I made a crazy prediction back in 2002 after the completion of the KC stadium when they where in the old division 3 that Hull would be a premiership club by 2007 (it was mostly influenced by Championship Manager)
Hulls away record in the league is pretty much the same as Watfords home record, I must admit to have been let down by Watford many times during the season when backing them for a home win. I think Hull will at least get a draw in the 1st leg an beat Watford in the return leg, They beat Watford 3-0 on the 29th of March!
I think they'll meet Crystal Palace in the Final, which they'll win, as they have took 4 points of Palace during the season, 1-1 at Palace then beating them 2-1 on the 2nd last game of the league season!
Leeds - A massive club that in my opinion deserves to be promoted, they've been the best team in the league an leeds fans have stayed faithful thru'out the bad times an i feel they'll weep the rewards, they're sure to have an army of fans making their way to wembely should they reach the final. I think Southend will be the winners of the other play off game. But leeds have finished the season the way they started it an have the best form from the 4 teams winning 6 of their last 7!
Stockport- This is the hardest one to call in my opinion but ive opted for Stockport, I dont think they will win the 1st leg at Wycombe as Wycombe have been defencivly solid when at home. tho Stockport did manage to hammer Wycombe 6-0 when Wycombe visited Stockport.
Darlington is another team thats been rather solid defencivly home & away but seems to slip abit towards the back end of the season, where as Rochdale didnt lose any of their last 10. So i think we'll see a Rochdale vs Stockport in the final. an Im giving it to Stockport as they did the double over Rochdale during the league campaign!
Tho play-0ffs usual throw up a few surprises as anything can happen in 90mins of football (maybe 120) we might even see penalties deciding some of these!
So thats Hull, Leeds & Stockport for me! |

A good idea is to back one team from each play-off semi final to win the play-offs and cover the bet in 8 x Trebles
If one of your picks in a particular division reached its final, your bet is still running; if they both do, you would be able to sit back, watch that final, and enjoy it. |

I was waiting for someone to start a thread for Fridays football, but since there's only one significant game i thought i'd post my thoughts here.
Southend v Doncaster 1st leg play-off
This should be a close game similar to their 2 league meetings early this season. Southend won 3-2 at home, and Doncaster won the reverse fixture 3-1. Southend took their foot off the gas after guaranteeing their play-off place and had the oppurtunity of resting a few key players. Doncaster must be really disappointed after blowing the chance of automatic promotion on the last day when their fate was in their own hands.
My picks are: Over 2.5 goals
Mulgrew to score 1st e/w @ 40/1 (free-kick specialist)
Southend to be promoted @ 7/2
Come on you Blues |

I expect Palace to get the job done in the first leg today. They will be far to strong for a Bristol City side that have over achieved this season and who are showing signs that they are tiring.
Palace look good for at least 3 goals, matbe more if scoring early.
My bets are :-
C Palace -2 Handicap @ 6/1
C Morrison to score two or more goals @9/1
C Morrison to score anytime @13/8
C Palace to score in both halves @2/1
C morrison to score and C Palace to win match 5/2
Good luck with your bets _________________ Never pay for tips, Why would you?.

Got that a bit wrong then Tomario, I thought Bristol City were excellent and deserved to win the match.
Perhaps they will win the play offs, if they play like that again then then must go close! |
