BELGIUM JUPITER LEAGUE.

I know it is a bit macabre but I would advise staying away from any punts on the above league this weekend. Francois Sterchele the Belgian Jupiter leagues top goalscorer last year and most prolific goal scorer for Club Brugge was tragically killed in a car accident yesterday. His sudden death at the age of 26 has totally shocked the nation of Belgium but for some strange reason their footballing authorities have not stopped their league programme. Officials, players and clubs are believed to be stunned by the decision NOT to cancel this weekends matches. Therefore, there is likely to be some very strange results from that league at the moment...

Southend Vs Doncaster - HOME WIN
I cant see many goals in this one.I expect it to be a tight game with neither team wanting to give anything away in this first leg.Southend are looking to go straight back up to the championship after being relagated last season. They ended the season well, unbeaten in 10 home games and only losing one of their last 15 games (h&a).Doncaster lost their last game of the season 2-1 away at battling Cheltenham which meant they lost out on auntomatic promotion. Southend manager Steve Tilson took them to two consecutive promotions from League Two to the Championship will be able to return to the touchline after a ban and will have a near full squad to choose from for tonights game.Doncaster could be boosted by the possible return of the long term injured Mark Wilson, Adam Lockwood and Steve Roberts.Their manager has also tasted play off success with former club Bournemouth. Both these teams defences has been good this season but Doncaster have conceded goals in their last five away games and with Southend's recent home run i think the home side will just win this one.
HOME WIN @ 11/8 with Ladbrokes
Others to consider:
Under 2.5 goals @ 4/6 with StanJames
Correct Score:Southend 1-0 @ 7/1 with StanJames

19:45 Cork City v Sligo Rovers
Draw @ 3.6
I can see sligo nicking a draw here, i havnt been to convinced by corks displays while sligo seem to have started blending well.

19:45 Galway United v Finn Harps
Galway United @ 2.2
The two worst preforming sides, terryland has not seen a pt picked up here all season, while finn harps havnt picked up a point on their travels. But Galway looked much better last week holding derry to a 0-0 and that would put them in spot to win this tonight for much needed 3pts.

19:45 St Patricks v UCD
St Patricks #1-0 (Correct Score) @ 6.5
I like St.Pats but UCD will give them a though assignment here and keep it tight and with pats coming a sunday came they havnt had the rest ucd have had.

20:00 Shamrock Rovers v Derry City
Draw @ 3.1
A Draw looks on cards here be it a 0-0 or a 1-1, but sides wont be too adventourious, and 2 of their last 3 have been draws too.

Southend v Doncaster

Southend unbeaten in their last 11 at home, including draws against Swansea & Forest and a win over Leeds. They have already beaten Doncaster at home earlier in the season, 3-2. Doncaster failed to win any of their last 5 on the orad and they have to bounce back from losing their automatic promotion place to Forest on the last day of the season.

Another stat in Southend's favour is the record of 6th placed teams at home to 3rd placed teams in the playoffs over the last 10 seasons. Blackpools win at Oldham last season was the 1st win for a 3rd placed side in the League 1 playoffs in the last 10 attempts. There are been 3 wins for 6th placed sides whilst their have been 6 draws between sides.

The also tend to be low scoring games with just 2 in the last 10 over 2.5 goals as the 3rd placed sides try and keep it tight in order to have a chance when they return home in the 2nd legs.

Therefore the sensible bet tonight would be Southend AH [0] @ 1.65
