Closer than some may think and while i favour united its a hard game to call as a punter, best bet may be Ronaldo ATGS but the odds are likely to be poor.

Well I hope MU fullfill their destiny and win it in the 50th anniversary year of the Munich Air Disaster and the 40th anniversary of their first win.

The price for MU to win on penalties is currently 8/1 and as I can see it being a close game this might be the value option, and I'm sure you might be able to get higher if you wait a week. I know Ballack scored a penalty when these teams last met but thinking back to the Charity Shield game (VDSar saved 4 penalties in the shoot-out?) MU would have the psychological edge.

Should MU fail then I am sure Ferguson will blame the artifical pitch.

I actually watched a re-run of the 68 European Cup final on ESPN. The most evident difference between now and then was the total absence of pitchside advertising. Shocked Happy Days Win

I still have a sneaky bet on Chelsea finishing runners up from before the semis which I'm keeping. The pitch will probably play a part but dont know who it'll benefit. Should be a great match to watch anyway!

There is no artificial pitch for the Champions League final. A temporary natural grass pitch will be installed as that was one of the conditions of the stadium and Moscow getting this years final.

United should go at Chelsea from the off, none of this pussy footing around. Thats the best way to beat them IMO. If you look at the game at Old Trafford when they won 2-0 and the 2nd half at Stamford Bridge they were the better team when they decided to attack them.

It's a shame the match isn't being played at Old Trafford isn't it boys? I believe quite a bit of what you have said above ius biased. I trust you are Utd fans?

I'm a fan of neither team but to say Chelsea didn't deserve to beat you at Stamford Bridge is a bit rich. I watched the match and a thought they deserved the win, even if the penalty was fortueitous. But to say Chelsea never looked like getting a winner in a match where you were gifted a goal by Carvalho is funny.

You have beaten Chelsea twice in the last 14 meetings, both at Old Trafford, with Chelsea winnning 6. Even this season, when Utd have supposedly been the best footballing side we have 1 win for each and 2 draws.

Both teams are pretty much at the same level. I can certainly not see anything to seperate Utd as more likely winners than Chelsea. The most likely result in 90mins is a draw and then it's a complete lottery.

I see them as pretty much level teams

UTD do play the better football but chelsea play better together as a unit!

Chelsea dont lose many matches, an Utd usualy score!

I've seen Ronaldo being completely marked outta 2 games this season where Utd still got the draws , 1-1 at Spurs then again at Blackburn. Stopping Ronaldo again might be the 1st thing Chelsea are thinking about, That means altering the tactics to something other than they're a custom too. Which hasnt always worked for Chelsea

Be interesting to see the team sheets . Fergie likes to play Fletcher for Champions leagues games , an Carricks hada pretty good season?!

u need to remember chelsea had a full strength team at home were utd rested several top players and lost vidic early to injury

You rested Ronaldo and Scholes, the rest of the side was your 1st chocie side. I agree Chelsea had their best side out but they beat you.

On the other side of the coin your 1 win in 4 matches against Chelsea this season came against a side shorn of Carvalho, Drogba & Lampard. Who had lost their manager midweek and were down to 10 men after 30 minutes.

It's all 'swings and roundabouts' at the end of the day. You may play the better football but Chelsea are just as effective playing their own game. At the end of the day the style of football counts for nothing...I should know being a Tottenham fan. It's how you cope with your opponents on the day and nothing else.

As I said above I can see nothing to seperate the 2 and the draw is the most likely option for me.

Just hoping this is more entertaining than last years FA cup final, which was a disgrace to the competition.

This looks a draw all day long as both sides try not to lose, rather than make a fist of winning

Man Utd (in 90 mins) @ 6/4

Man Utd were crowned champions on Saturday afternoon as both Alex Ferguson and Ryan Giggs won their 10th Premier League trophy. You can be sure, however, that from Wednesday all celebrations will be finished with as the team focus on their final (and arguably most important) game of the season - the Champions League final against Chelsea in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.

Ferguson knows just how hard it is to win this trophy as he hasn't even come close to it since winning back in 1999 and he will make sure his team are prepared 100% for the game - the fact that Ryan Giggs is set to break Sir Bobby Charlton's all time appearance record for the club in Moscow will, in Ferguson's mind, be completely irrelevant and he will demand his players to focus completely on the game and to forget about records and stats.

After the semi-final against Barcelona I felt Chelsea would win the Champions League as the United defence didn't look that solid while Cristiano Ronaldo was, yet again, very disappointing in a big game. There's no doubting he has had a superb season as the stats speak for themselves but he has yet to do it in a big game and will need to step up to the plate in Moscow. The reason I've now changed my mind to Man Utd from Chelsea is because of the improvement in form of United's defence, the imminent return of Vidic and the recent injuries picked up by Terry, Carvalho and Drogba. They are without doubt 3 of the 5 most important players to Chelsea in my opinion (with Lampard and Cech filling the other places) and if all, or indeed any, of those 3 are missing then it will be a big blow to Chelsea's chances and they will face an uphill struggle in Moscow.

The one man who could steal the show in Moscow in my opinion is Carlos Tevez. He was outstanding against Barcelona and in general has been the 'unsung hero' of Man Utd's season. His work rate and passing have been superb throughout the entire season plus he ain't half bad at grabbing goals either and he could put in a man of the match performance in Moscow in my opinion if given the chance by Fergie.

Having 'split the series' (as the yanks say) this season with a win each and given the fact that both league games last year were draws this has all the signs of being yet another tight game. It certainly won't be a landslide but I feel that with Chelsea likely to be missing key players and with Man Utd at full strenght, Fergie can grab his second Champions League trophy to round off a successful 22nd year in charge of one of the greatest clubs of all time.
