Early start for Thursdays thread as I'm out tomorrow so I won't get chance to post them later
Finnish Veikkausliiga - RoPS v TPS
RoPS (Asian Handicap 0) @ 2.02
RoPS couldnt have asked for a better start to their season. Back in the top flight after a 2 yr absence they have only been beaten once [1st game against league leaders] and have beaten last seasons champions, Tampere, at home. Last weekend they played their 3rd home game and beat IFK Mariehamn who looking for an eighth straight away win 3-1. TPS finished 3rd last season after a few years in the wilderness and they started this season as a dark horse for the title. Currently in 4th they have beaten twice but their away form has been patchy and they didn't win that many on the road last season.
Finnish Veikkausliiga - FC Honka v HJK Helsinki
Draw @ 3.25
In the last 2 seasons these teams have drawn 0-0 in this encounter, whilst in this seasons League Cup the same teams served up a 2-2 draw. Honka have kept clean sheets in each of their 3 home matches this season whilst HJK have conceded just once on the road. As the most successful side in Finland HJK will be looking to improve on a dismal season last year but I feel they will find Honka a good match for them Thursday night. _________________ See my latest football tips by clicking here >>>>我来我看见我征服 |

SWEDEN SUPERETTAN
IF LIMHAMN BUNKEFLO V LANDSKRONA BoIS
I'm going to have a heavy 'belts and braces' punt on this games with the DNB option offering a bit of protection although it should be a straight forward enough away win to Landskrona BoIS.
Bunkeflo have lost all of their last 4 home games scoring 2 goals whilst conceding a massive 12!
Landskrona have won their last 4 away games scoring 10 goals and conceding just 2!
At 11/10 (2.10) for the away win or 1/2 for the away win DNB this certainly looks like a banker to me. |

KanKeano, I have to agree to your RoPS-TPS pick.
Both teams have started league pretty well.
But remember, that RoPS is the team who comes from Rovaniemi, which is in Northern Finland, if you didnīt know that, and all other teams have huge distance to travel to Rovaniemi (TPS have 825 km to travel) and Iīm quite sure that there arenīt many teams in Finland that donīt travel to Rovaniemi by bus, so thats have to affect a lot to away teams performance.
So I always recomment you not to punt against RoPS in home because it will take most of its league points in home field!
But I think this game is home win or draw...canīt say which is better option. |

Alfran
Landskrona to score 1st is 4/6 in places and considering that they have scored 8 of their total 14 goals this season in the 1st half 4 of those have came in the 1st 15mins. Compare that to Bunkeflo who have scored only 3 goals so far and two of those have benn in the 2nd half after 60mins and 75mins and the only 1st half goal was scored after 30mins.
Just something to ponder for a bit I reckon. |

Madbob... I totally agree. In fact there are a few different ways of knocking the odds up on this game but personally (from previous bitter experience of betting), when I bet at the top of my limit I have learnt not to be greedy and go for the safest option (the DNB). I would rather stick a large wedge on (at lesser odds), than a smaller wager at better odds.
Whatever you decide though...the very best of luck mate |

Ivory Coast v Paraguay
IMO Paraguay are overpriced in this match. Ivory Coast are without several key players & are most likely not to be taking this too seriously. Even the possibility of Zola (Calvin - he plays for my team, Tranmere) making an appearance still can't get me behind Cote d'Ivoire....
Having said that, the AH option from Bet365 runs : Paraguay +0.25 @ 1.85, compare this to the straight win of Paraguay @ 3.20 & possibly the value in the 1X2 market starts to show...
Edit- Not sure what I was thinking there Calvin isn't from Ivory Coast - apologies if this misled anyone... _________________ "There's no such thing as a grown-up. FF Jaro vs FC Haka
From the matches at home so far the table reads that Jaro has won 1 draw 1 an lost 1 of their first 3, only scored 3 an conceded 3.
Haka havnt scored an away goal yet conceded 8, 2 loses 1 draw. 7 of them 8 goals came in their last away match when they where beat 7-0 by FC Honka. then in their last home game they got beat 3-0 by MyPa. so 10 goals conceded in their last 2 games.
Both teams looking poor imo. they're level on points with near the exact same record from matches played, I'm given this one home advantage as i see both these clubs struggleing to pick up points on their travels!
FF Jaro +0 @ 1.975 Bet365 |

Tonight I'm going to go for something different and will Lay Rangers
Reason being is that Aberdeen have a fantastic home record of late, have won 4 of their last five and drew the other game.
On the other hand, Rangers have only won 1 of their last 5 away games.
Couple this with what has happened to Chelsea and Roma recently going into the final set of fixtures with a chance of the title. Both teams rivals were winning in their respective games and as a result their performance slumped and both went from being in winning positions to ending up drawing.
Even if Rangers take the lead tonight, if news of a Celtic goal gets through then heads may drop and with Aberdeens strong home record I am confident of a mini upset.
Best bet for me is to Lay Rangers at 1.51 (Betfair). |

Draw between FC Honka and HJK Helsinki @ 3.25
Two sides who have made a decent start to the season face off against each other. HJK have made a great start to the season, they are unbeaten at home in 2008 and have won 2 and drawn 1 of their 3 home matches this season. In their last home match they hammered FC Haka 7-0 and are yet to concede a home goal this season. HJK have also made a decent start on the road, 1 win and 2 draws from their 3 away matches. The last 4 meetings between these two in Honka have been drawn and I expect the trend to continue today.
Rangers -1 v Aberdeen @ 1.8
I think Rangers will put in a big performance tonight and beat Aberdeen by a couple of goals. I didnt expect Rangers to beat St Mirren as comfortable as they did and that win certainly gives them some momentum heading in to this one. Aberdeen always give Rangers a tough match at Pittodrie and are unbeaten in their last 8 home matches but Rangers will be up for this one and will be desperate to win by a few goals. The Gers have Cuellar back today and with Novo, Darcheville and Boyd hit the back of the net recently I have to fancy Rangers -1.
Hibs to beat Motherwell @ 2.2
Nothing match this one as Motherwell have already secured an UEFA Cup place and this match will certainly have an end of season feel to it. I fancy Hibs to win as they have been pretty solid at home recently, losing just 1 of their last 10 home matches against Celtic(2-0) and they have won 7 of those matches. Hibs have kept 4 succesive home clean sheets and Motherwell might find it hard against them tonight. Well as I said are already in Europe next season but their away form is not good coming in to this one having won just 1 of their last 6 and have lost 3 of their last 4 away from home. Hibs have won five straight league matches against Motherwell at Easter Road and 9 of the last 10, so I expect them to win tonight.
Over 2.5 in Dundee United-Celtic match @ 1.67
Even though Dundee United dont have anything to play for tonight I expect them to play a part in what could be a potential thriller tonight. Celtic are in great form at the moment having won 6 straight, four of those matches have been over 2.5 and they will be up for scoring some goals and winning this match. Dundee United are a team with plenty of goals in them, they have the very good Noel Hunt up front and with some other consistent scorers around him. They have scored 6 goals in their last 3 home matches while Celtic have scored 6 goals in their last 2 away matches, I think this will have quite a few goals tonight. _________________ Read my Boxing blogs, previews of fights happening all over the World. Aberdeen or Draw - Double Chance - 2.62
I agree with hornybaby on this one and all the points he makes.
Just another couple of things to add are that Rangers last 2 visits to Aberdeen have resulted in a draw and a defeat and also there is a real deep seated historic rivalry between these 2 teams. It is a certainty that Aberdeen will give it 100% tonight.
I think all things considered these odds are worth taking for Aberdeen not to lose. |
