IFK Goteborg to beat Trelleborgs @ 1.5

IFK Goteborg have made a good start to the season as they attempt to keep their grip on the title and they can continue the push for the top with a win over strugglers Trelleborgs. IFK have a 100% home record in 2008, thats six matches at home and six wins. Their record at home against todays opponents is good as they have won 10 straight home league matches against Trelleborgs, the away sides only win coming in the cup 2006. IFK have a great chance of continuing their good record against Trelleborgs as they are struggling on the road. They are yet to win on the road in 2008, losing 4 of 6 matches. IFK can start well after the break.

IFK Gothenburg at home is a tough task for any team never mind a struggling Trelleborgs and I'll quote from Kan Keano from the tips page,

"Swedish international, Niclas Alexanderson, returns to the side after his participation in Euro 2008 and joins the rest of the IFK squad below"

Thats another boost for them and they should have a good run out today and come out with the points.

As you know, IFK has been really really good home side and have conceded a very few goals and I don´t think Trelleborg have what it takes to score today

Drogheda v Cork

This looks like cracking value as Cork are on a great run lately while Drogheda have failed to live up to last years performance ( they won the league ) and now lie 5th. Their last 3 victories were against poor sides at the bottom of the league and non-league in the cup while Cork haven't been beaten in 6. Drogheda have injury concerns including PFAI Player of the Year Brian Shelley, goalkeeper Dan Connor, Graham Gartland, Paul Keegan, Shane Robinson, Richie Baker, Declan O’Brien and Shane Barrett unlikely to be fit enough to return. Cork have a full squad but It's a cup game and Cork are away so thats why I'm goin for the +0 instead of the win @ 13/8 and also Corks George O'Callaghan ( best player ) has said he wants to leave and so could possibly have a bearing on things.

Dave Mooney could add to his goal tally today as he is in great form and is the leagues top scorer.

madbob think that this could be good bet as drogs wont be to pushed on this match imo as they have the league,fai cup, setenta cup and champions league to concentrate on so i can see maybe a weakened side fielded tonight.

UCD V WEXFORD YOUTH

DOUBLE CHANCE :WEXFORD/DRAW @2/1

I think that this game could be a drab match in dublin between these two teams but i feel that wexford will at least get a draw. UCD are playing poorly at the minute and im sure wexford youths will be up for this match and raring to go.

Madbob what do you think about the Derry match. Derry on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat and bohs on a great run?

I'd avoid the Derry match. Fair enough St. Pats beat then 3-0 last week but Derry have a great record in the cup and are a very good team with a good manager and Bohs have been travelling quite a bit recently and have to head to Estonia shortly aswell so it could go either way imo as you won't know if Bohs will be bothered with this cup or not.

Don't forget that Wexford have lost their last 5 1st division games and are away to a premier team that may be on a poor run but it's too dodgy to call for my liking.

I'm on IFK, tehy have to make it six out of six league wins at home surely. I'm also going to whack it into a double with another Swedish team this time in the Superettan, Häcken BK who face Falkenbergs FF on home turf tonight.

Häcken are currently top of the table and in absolutely irresistable form.
Facing Falkenbergs who are positioned sixth in the table (from sixteen.) Häcken BK have only lost one game this season which was away to fifteenth placed Bunkeflo IF so it came as abit of a freak result. Other then that Häcken BK have been a class above all teams in the Superettan other then Assyriska who are level on points but Häcken have played one less game. Their current home record is what has been their secret to their success with a record 5-1-0 , no visitors can break the deadlock, Jonkopings came the closest, but really they were always going to settle with the 0-0 draw.


Häcken BK are at 1.55 with 365 so jump on the bandwagon whilst you can still get that price!
