VPS Vaasa +0.25 v FF Jaro @ 1.82

Tough match to call, both sides pretty evenly matched but I can see VPS taking at least a point from this match tonight. The men from Vaasa have won their last three away matches in all competitions, although two of those matches were in the Finnish Cup against weaker opposition, its still a win and they will take confidence from that. They have picked up on the road recently and won two of their last three on the road in the league at IFK Marienhamm and FC Honka. FF Jaro started well at home in 2008 but they have slipped away recently winning just one of their last five and that was in the cup against FC Lahti. VPS have lost just one of their last five visits to Jaro and they can get a result today.

Hammarby to beat IFK Norrkoping @ 1.55

Hammarby are having a solid season in seventh and that has been mostly due to their good home form where they are unbeaten this season. Out of the 6 home matches they have played in the league, they have won 3 and drawn 3. Two of their best results where when they held Elfsborg to a 0-0 draw and beat Helsingborg 2-1. On their return they were held to a 1-1 draw by Halmstads which is a decent result in my opinion and they will be confident of winning tonight. IFK are bottom of the league and on their return to league action they were beaten at home by GIF Sundsvall with two goals in the last few minutes. That will have hit their confidence and I cant see them matching Hammarby tonight.

IFK Goteborg to beat Helsingborg @ 2.04

IFK Goteborg were a banker against Trelleborgs but they lost the match against all odds. But they will want to get back on the winning trail today and I fancy them to do just that. Despite that loss IFK have still won six of their seven home matches in 2008 and are in a strong position despite the shock defeat. They have very good support who will get behind them today and will be up for this one against another big Swedish club. They are Helsingborg who returned with a shaky 1-0 win over IFKs neighbours GAIS, but Helsingborg are not consistent on the road and I cant see them getting a winning sequence going here. In all competitions they have lost four of their last six away matches and I cant see them winning against the Goteborg giants tonight.

I had gathered that much Tlemcen but I think selections should be based on more than just goal difference imo. Do you take into account injuries or suspensions, what they are playing for i.e cup game, league or europe or if it's a derby game, etc?

JoeBhoy - Have you good reasons for fancying this? I'm not being hateful but if someone is posting a selection could they please have some info to back it up as it would save time checking out the stats for ourselves. I don't mean that in a lazy way but you could have some good info that some people might not be able to find, esp for non mainstream games.

Goals scored Home or Away have a very big say in matches so the guy is right for putting up goal difference etc He's putting up good info not just goal difference but previous scores in the games.

I like the IFK bet to beat Helsingborg. Helsinborg are normally not a good team away from home will only be playing one striker (the king of kings), Helsinborg I think played 6 away game games losing 3 and winning 3 but 2 of them wins were to newly promoted sides.
IFK are previous champs and are 10 points behind leaders they have to get this game in.
