Elfsborg Boras IF - Gefle
Swedish 1st Allsvenskank
Home win at 1.45 w/ Centrebet
Right the odds are quite short for the game today but everything (and I mean everything) is pointing to a home win for Elfsborg. As far as form goes, Elfsborg have won the last 5 straight games on the spin against some heavy duty opposition. These games include a 3-0 pasting over IFK, and two comfortable 1-0 home wins against Helsingborgs and league leaders Kalmar FF. Also thrown in two 2-0 away wins over Trelleborgs and a decent Djurgardens side. At the other end, Gefle who have only managed one win in the last ten over a quite weak Sundsvall side at home puts them rock bottom of the Allsvenskan form table. Their last two games have seen them lose 2-1 away to Hammarby and a disasturous 5-1 loss at home to Kalmar.
Unfortunately it gets worse for Gefle, they haven't won one away game from their six played this season - whereas Elfsborg have a 5-1-0 record on home turf and are yet to concede in these six ties. Elfsborg will have way too much for Gefle today so I predict an easy 3-0 home win!!! Jump on the bandwagon _________________ PLAY UP POMPEY |

Im going for the home win as well. Although I placed a similar bet last week with Gothenburg who at the time were 100% at home........ they ended up losing 2-0 home to Trelleborg. But hey, lets hope lightning does'nt strike twice in that league and that Elfsborg play how they have been and cruise to victory. |

I'm with you Brewster, I got on this on monday at 1/2 with Ladbrokes but it's 2/5 now with them aswell. I would hardly think the 2nd leg against Hibs on sat will have any bearing on the game seeing as they are 2 up already and are at home for it. All the stats point in the one direction for this game.
Elfsborg/Elfsborg HT/FT @ 10/11 Bet365 also looks like it's in with a good shout as Elfsborg have scored 8 out of 14 in the 1st half in their last 6 league games and they also scored early in the away game against Hibs last week. _________________ -

Draw between Saturn Moskva and FK Moskva @ 3
Tricky match to call this one in what is a mini Moscow derby, regarding its not between two of the big sides e.g CSKA, Lokomotiv, Spartak. Saturn are unbeaten in their last four home matches. Saturday they played in the Intertoto Cup and beat Etzella of Luxembourg 7-0 and that will have given them more confidence heading in to this one. They have an experienced team and they are a difficult side to face on their own patch. FC Moscow have won their last two away matches but have not played since May which puts them at a disadvantage. But I do think they have a side that matches up to Saturn who in reality only had a friendly match on Saturday. Three of the last four meetings between these two at Saturns ground has ended in a draw, I wouldnt be surprised if this would be the same.
Spartak Nalchik +1.5 v Zenit St Petersburg @ 1.85
Everyone knows about Zenit St Petersburg by now but people dont know about Spartak Nalchik, and believe me they will work the UEFA Cup holders today. Zenit returned to league action on Sunday and hammered Tom Tomsk 5-1. They are the same old Zenit regarding the way they play but no Arshavin or Pogbrenyak, and it will be interesting how they will play without them. Spartak are in form, they have won their last three matches, including on their return to action on Saturday when they beat Shinnik 2-1. They have lost just one of their four away matches this term and have kept three consecutive clean sheets on the road, including in a 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow and a 0-0 draw with Lokomotiv Moscow. These two played out a thriller in Leningrad last season, Zenit won 4-3 and Spartak will make the champions work again today.
Over 2.5 goals in Ham Kam-Rosenborg match @ 1.67
I see goals between these two today. Ham Kam are not in form and have struggled to score recently but I have seen footage of them play and they are not that bad a side as they do play it around and they look a threat from set pieces. Rosenborg will have been happy with a 3-1 win in Lithuania on Saturday as they look to advance in the Intertoto Cup. They needed a win under their belt and they do have some quality in their line up which could be vital regarding this bet.
Elfsborg -1.25 v Gefle @ 1.95
Elfsborg are a team to watch, they play very good counter attacking football and dont concede many goals. They have won five of their six home matches in the Allsvenskan this season and their record at home in all competitions in 2008 is P8, W6, D2, L0 and 7 clean sheets. Gefle are poor away from home and are yet to win away in any competition this season. They will be frustrated against a very good team and they will not have many opportunities. _________________ Read my Boxing blogs, previews of fights happening all over the World. Just to let you know madbob Elfsborg on the Ht/Ft are 11/10 with Paddys, and if that goes there's 2.05 with Centrebet. Not a huge difference but it all adds up! _________________ PLAY UP POMPEY |

Cheers Brewster, good job I'm still at work and haven't put it on yet. Always pays to check them all. If Elfsborg doesn't come in then today could be my final day on here as my mates will murder me to complete and utter death.
I'm just after checking my tips on here and I really should have seen that for myself, the word numpty comed to mind. _________________ -

Yeah, I'm on Elfsborg too. They're in good home form (W5-D1-L0), which is a stark contrast to Gefle's away form (W0-D2-L4). Can't see past an Elfsborg victory tonight!
Good luck all |

Domzale vs Ljubljana (interblock)
Slovenian Super Cup.... I started betting on Domzale towards the back end of last season an wasnt let down by them despite them already having the league wrapped up pretty early, As far as i am aware they are the best team in Slovenia finishing last season 12 points ahead of their nearest challanger an a massive 26 points ahead of Ljubljana who they play tonight.
Head to Head strongly favours Domzale also, who havnt lost to Ljubljana in the last 8 times the clubs have met, 6 wins 2 draws including winning the last 4!
Bookies have made Ljubljana slight favourites for this but im willing to start putting my money back on Domzale an will be keeping a closer eye on them thru' out the coming season!
Domzale @ 2.87 (15/8) Bet365 |
