Sorry for the bad tipping yesterday, Llanelli
Pyunik to beat Anorthosis Famagusta @ 4
Anorthosis have a 1-0 lead going with them to Yerevan but I do expect them to be given more of a test tonight in Armenia as they did dominate the first match in Larnaca. Pyunik are in the middle of their league season and are currently four matches unbeaten at home, winning three of those four, keeping a clean sheet in all wins. They do have a solid defence and 1-0 away from home is not a bad score for them and they will take a lot of heart from that result. Vardan Minaysan is starting to really feel his way in to the Pyunik job and the players are starting to play the way he wants them to. In my opinion this tie should be finished but Anorthosis were exceptionally wasteful in Cyprus last week and in European football if you are wasteful it could come back and bite you on the behind. Towards the backend of the season Anorthosis struggled on the road and I dont know if its the same with their club sides but the Cyprus national team rely heavily on home form and do generally struggle to get results on the road. Pyunik have a good chance of advancing here.
Levadia Tallinn to beat Drogheda United @ 1.91
Drogheda were made to work last week at Dalymount Park, today they are in Tallinn and this is going to be a real test for them. Levadia are currently 11 matches unbeaten at home and they will have been quite happy to come away from Ireland with a 2-1 loss, although in my opinion Drogheda didnt deserve to win the match. Levadia are the better side technically and this is their first match since the first leg which is a huge advantage in my opinion considering Drogheda were beaten at home by Cork on Sunday and then had to fly out to Tallinn. That loss was another setback for Drogs and I cant see them holding out here today, this side may just be that little too good for this Drogheda side.
FK Buducnost to beat Tampere United @ 1.91
Fatos Beciraj grabbed a huge goal in the 87th minuted last week out in Finland, Buducnost were 2-0 behind and with three minutes remaining Beciraj scored a goal which makes this tie very interesting now. That goal will give the Montenegro champions a lot of hope and with a great home record of eight wins in their last nine they do have a very big chance of advancing to the next round. I said last week I dont see anything special in this Tampere United, they are really struggling in the Veikkausliiga and were beaten at MyPa on Saturday. They have won just two of their last ten away matches and I dont like their style of play and I really do hope and I think Buducnost can win this match and advance to the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League.
Under 2.5 goals in Artmedia Bratislava v Valletta FC match @ 2.75
Believe me this match will have a very pre season feel to it, two sides who dont score many goals and I cant see Valletta scoring tonight anyway. Artmedia won 2-0 out in Malta with two goals in the last 10 minutes of the match, they are back in league action and to be honest they will just use this match as to get some more match sharpness. Theyve score more than two in just one of their last ten home matches and are a side built on being very solid and that is why they are unbeaten for a year or so. As I said I cant see Valletta scoring against such a solid side and Artmedia will be happy to stroll through this one and win maybe 1 or 2-0.
Domzale to beat F91 Dudelange 2-0 @ 7
I like the look of this correct score and I have a good feeling about it. Domzale with a 1-0 lead coming in to this match and to be honest they are not a good side but are way better than F91 Dudelange who come from the very small country of Luxembourg whose clubs sides never advance to the next stages of European competitions. Domzale returned to league action on Saturday and beat NK Primorje 2-0 and I do think it will be the same scoreline tonight. Domzale will have enough to score two goals and I really cant see the side from Luxembourg scoring, so have a cheeky punt on the 2-0.
Dinamo Zagreb to beat Linfield @ 1.1
Can you seriously give Linfield a chance in Zagreb tonight? I cant, I expect them to be given an almighty hammering and I am gutted the OLBG feed cant pick up an Asian Handicap market but if you have money to lump on a Dinamo win then do it. When Linfield enter the Maksimir tonight I guarantee you they will be shaking with fear, they wont be the first and certainly not the last. In my opinion its the most intimerdating stadium in Europe but it makes for a great atmosphere. Like having a stadium of passionate Croatians is not bad enough, these Croatians are not a bad outfit. They are technically very good and were by miles the better team in Belfast last week. Even though the tie is pretty much over and done with, Dinamo will want to win in front of their own crowd and win well they will do.
BATE Borisov to beat Valur @ 2.5
BATE Borisov were by far the better team last week in Belarus winning 2-0 and I see them finishing the job out in Iceland tonight. They are a team in great form and they FC Vitebsk in the league on Saturday 2-0 and even though they look clear favourites to advance here and with that two goal advantage, they will want to continue their good form by winning tonight. They have won their last four away matches and last 10 home/away in all competitions. Valur were held by Keflavik in the league on Saturday and they are really struggling for some good consistent form at this moment. They are quite a beatable opponent at home in their domestic competitions, in Europe against a side a fair bit better than them they should be very beatable. _________________ Read my Boxing blogs, previews of fights happening all over the World. Two more to add
Zenit St Petersburg to beat Lokomotiv Moscow @ 1.8
Zenit are starting to hit the gears again and on Saturday they beat 2nd placed Amkar Perm which was a great victory. They combined their great counter attacking football with a more solid outlook and it produced a good result. Since the UEFA Cup final they have played five matches in the Russian League, winning three, drawing one and losing one which is not a bad return. Andrei Arshavin continues to play for them and all this speculation about his future doesnt seem to be affecting him as he is playing well. Lokomotiv are not the team they use to be, they will have been gutted after drawing with Spartak Moscow on Saturday, they were 2-0 up but goals by Pavlyuckenko in the 72nd minute and Bazhenov in stoppage time rescued a point for Spartak. Add a loss against Dinamo Moscow in their last away match and you can see they are really struggling and they have already lost to Zenit in 2008 back in March Zenit winning the Super Cup final 2-1 with goals from Arshavin and Pogbrenyak. Zenit win.
Draw between Viking and Rosenborg @ 3.4
Both sides coming off European matches, both coming off European defeats. Viking beaten controversially in Lithuania against FK Vetra, when Vetra were supposed to play the ball back to Viking as a sign of sportsmanship, they instead went for goal and scored. Rosenborg were beatn 1-0 in Breda by NAC in the Intertoto Cup and they will be pretty happy with that result. Viking are a good side at home in their last 10 matches they have won 7, lost 2 and drawn 1. They only just managed a point against Fredrikstad in their last home match and they will be quite wary today. At first I fancied Rosenborg to win this match but they have struggled on the road this season, winning just two of their last ten and it looks like they may just have to wait for a better opportunity to arise before they claim their next away win. _________________ Read my Boxing blogs, previews of fights happening all over the World. hi, everybody
Pyunik has lost three or four good players (transfers to European clubs etc) this season, and is not a top leader anymore in Armenia championship.
Anorthosis today will miss three players due to injuries.
Game is scheduled outside Erevan, not Pyunik home, appr 2000 spectators capacity. kind of neutral ground.
first leg Anorthosis did not score in about 4 great opportunities.
this one should be more open game, Pyunik has nothing to loose and will try to score.
it opens gates to productive counterattacks
pick: draw
p.s.
sorry, people, wrong. Anorthosis won in spite of missing players.
hope many did not bet on this game thanks to controversial picks here

Brondby-Juventus 2 1,85 7/10
On Saturday Brodny is going to play hard game against Aalborg. I think it will be most important match than against Juve. What's more Ranieri assing really solid team against Danmark team.

IFK Goteborg/Murata to draw @ 10
Just something small on this. Goteborg know that there is a bigger chance of Bin Laden surrendering than Murata going through, and already hold a 5-0 aggregate lead. They could be resting key players tonight ahead of the Allsvenskan season, in which they currently sit fifth from fifteen games.
Levadia Tallinn to beat Drogheda United @ 2
Levadia have a vital away goal from Drogheda and gave them a good game last week. This week they are at home when they rarely lose in the Estonian capital. Drogheda will have to work hard to prevent Tallinn scoring.
Odense BK to beat Vejle BK @ 1.85
On a high after their solid 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, Odense now begin the Danish campaign away to newly promoted Vejle. The newcommers have not beaten Odense since 1998 in the league, while Odense have won the last 3 meetings, and to top that, 6 from the last 7 have been won by Odense.
Portuguesa and Flamengo to draw @ 3.20
Portuguesa dont lose many at home- just once from 7 games. On the other hand though, Flamengo have a really good away record also losing 1 game from 6. They only worry for me is Portuguesa's defence, which has leaked 11 goals from 7 games. However, 5 of those did come in a thrilling 5-5 draw. I think a draw seems good value tonight. |

Don't worry about the Llanelli tip Welshie, I'm still trying to get over my tip with Tbilisi yesterday
I've also picked up the Zenit to beat Loco result @ 1.79. While Zenit started slowly they look like they are beginning to pick up form and I reckon the home advantage will be enough for the win with Loco losing their last two home games, that makes my mind up, rightly or wrongly.
Also in Russia, Saturn to beat Shinnik @ 1.59. Saturn don't look a great side, however, I still think they should have enough. At home their record is 2-4-1 while Shinnik sit second bottom, without a win so far away (0-2-5). The respective recent form also points to a home win, which is why the odds aren't great, but enough to get me to take the bet.
Also going with Elfsborg -1.0 & 1.5 @ 1.71 against Norrkoping. Elfsborg are pretty commanding at home (5-1-1) and sit second, while Norrkoping are bottom with one away win (1-2-4). They have conceded 14 in the 7 away, while Elfsborg have scored ten, but have only conceded the one goal. |

Hi, folks
Pyunik- Anorthosis Famangusta
This is 2nd leg match between Pyunik Erevan and Anorthosis Famagusta . First match played in Cyprus ended with Anorthosis’s narrow win 1-0 obtained from a penalty kick . First game was very important for both teams to start well their Champions league campaign and to give each team hope .
Pyunik defended most of the game and rejected well most of Anorthosis’s attacks they maintained reasonable score . There were 18 shots on goal according to some reports and 3 times ball hit post . Pyunik team was very defensive minded . They got this low score because Anorthosis wasn’t effective and didn’t convert chances that they had .
Now in second leg Pyunik will have to push more in attack as they need to win in order to qualify further . But looking through Pyunik’s statistic in domestic league I can notice something interesting : in last 20 games played , just twice they went over 2,5 goals . So this might mean that this is their usual tactis , defending , or they have very good defense . Eachway works for me and I am going to back under 2.5 goals since both teams should approach this game calm and especially for Cypriot team they shouls defend their narrow win .
My bet :
Pyunik- Anorthosis Famangusta under 2,5 goals @1.77, but i late with my post and you can play only in live _________________ Where winners are born! |
