The competition is very simple

I will select one match per day from any league or cup competition anywhere in the World and you have to predict the following:

*1X2 – Who will win the match or will it be a draw

*HT/FT – Who will be winning at half time and full time or will it be a draw

*Overs/Unders – Will there be more than 2.5 goals scores or less

*Correct Score

In addition to predicting the above you will need to give at least 4 separate reasons as to why you have made the predictions on the basis that if you have predicted the home team to win that your other 3 predictions would reflect this.

You do not have to give 4 separate reasons for each prediction

Anyone that does not put any effort in and writes “X will win because I support them” etc or copies and pastes things from other sites will not be considered

*You may not edit your post at anytime

*All scores are 90 mins only extra time does not count

Scoring System:

1X2 – 10ts
HT/FT – 10pts
Overs/Unders – 5pts
Correct Score – 10pts

If you manage to predict all 4 correctly there will be an additional 15 points awarded

The person who gains the most points during the month wins; in the event of a tie we will have a single match playoff

The following template should be used for your predictions:

HT/FT - Y/Y or X/Y or Draw/Y etc

Overs/Unders - Overs or Unders

Correct Score - 2-1 or 1-1 etc

Followed by your reasoning

Games will be posted by 7:00pm for the following day, if there is no game posted by 7:00pm then anyone can pick a game and the first one posted will be the selected game

Both teams enjoyed mid-week cup success and with Lyn knocking in 6 goals to nil they will surely come into this slightly more upbeat although they are yet to win at home in the league this season. Lillestrøm lost their way a bit last season and instead of their usual top half finish they narrowly avoided the drop and they havn't had best of starts this season either with 5 losses and 4 draws in their opening 9 but they have won their last 2 despite 1 being against basement boys Strømsgodset. Lyn have started no better either with only 1 win in 11 but they are proving had to beat and have managed 6 draws so this should be quite a close encounter. Lillestrøm have clearly had the upper hand in the H2H apart from last season when they were really poor and Lyn did the double over them and I think on balance that with current form this game is most likely heading towards a draw. 5 of Lyn's 6 draws have been unders and all 4 of Lillestrøm's draws have ended as 1-1 unders, plus Lillestrøm have not kept a clean sheet in the league this season and have scored in all but 1 game so I guess we should expect a goal each and 1-1 is good a score as any. I'm going for the draw in both halfs as goals in 1-1 games tend to come in the same halfs more often than not.

Lyn are on their worst run at home for a very long while. It has been 8 games (In all competitions) since they last won a home match, a 3-0 win last season against Aalsund. Lyn currently have the worst home record in the Tippeligaen league having only picked up 3 points in 5 home matches (W0 D3 L2 GF6 GA8), an average of 2.8 goals per home match. But 8 of these came in a 4-4 draw against Valerenga in Lyns last home match. Lyn have not scored a single goal in the first half of any league match this season, with all 10 goals they have scored coming in the second half. Their half time stats this season are W0 D6 L5 GF0 GA5. And their home stats at half time are W0 D3 L2 GF0 GA2.

Despite Lillestrom winning their last 3 away games in all competitions their season away stats are W1 D2 L3 GF6 GA12. Their only away league victory coming against bottom placed Stromsgodset. Lillestrom’s half time season stats are W2 D5 L4 GF4 GA8. Away from home their half time stats are W1 D2 L3 GF2 GA6. When these two meet in the league with Lyn playing at home, Lillestrom have only won 1 of the last 5 meetings. 7 of the last 11 meetings at this ground between the two sides have finished under 2.5 goals. Lyn are the only team to have not won at home this season and I am taking a gamble on them to battle out a victory here.

Lyn Oslo have started the season with an awful home record, W0 D3 L2, scoring 6 goals (of these coming in 1 match - a 4-4 draw) and conceding 8 ( 4 of these coming in a 4-4 draw).
Lillestrom have a bad record away from this season; W1 (against bottom of the league Stromsgodset IF) D2 L3, in each of those defeats they've conceded 3 goals so away from tend to concede alot.
Both teams won't be high on confidence at the moment with their current records so despite Lyn's previous home game being 4-4 I am going to go for a low scoring contest.

Lyn have been winless for a while at home and rightfully have the worst home record of the league with no wins yet this season. Lillestrøm have only won once away this season, so I expect a tight goal shy match. Lyn have a decent home record vs Lillestrøm at home and a 1-0 scoreline is popular amongs them, so I'm backing the home side to nick a win here.
