20-06 WC 2010 Qualifying – Guinea v Malawi
Tip: Guinea win - 1.33 @ SkyBet
Guinea are not at sudden death's door. They have lost their opening 2 matches in the group and another loss will put them out of the qualifying picture. Their losses to Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast has seen ex-Liverpool striker, Titi Camara, take the reins and they are well aware that they are playing in the last chance saloon but they are playing against the group's weakest side at home tomorrow.
Malawi have done really well to get this far but the side are ranked 60 places below Guinea in the FIFA rankings and in 3 previous visits have lost 2 and drawn 1. Their only away goals and points came in a 3-0 win in Djibouti, who are about as bad as they come, and they lost 5-0 recently in the Ivory Coast.
20-06 Confederations Cup – Iraq v New Zealand
Tip: Iraq win - 1.46 @ BetChronicle
Can't understand how the bookies have priced this up but I'm not complaining. On 2nd thoughts there are only 5 places between these two on the current FIFA rankings but Iraq are Asian Champions! Neither side have been spectacular in this tournament but Iraq do still harbour hopes for the semi-finals and should dispose of a woeful New Zealand side; A side that has never gained a point in this competition. _________________ "Statistics are like mini-skirts .. they give you good ideas but hide the most important parts." > One-A-Day Football Challenge for January now open. |

South Africa v Spain
Spain @ 1.82 Betfair
Fifa World Rankings:
1st vs 72nd
Spain are the best team in the world, they've won 14 games IN A ROW!
unbeaten in 34 games and have beaten the likes of Italy, France, Germany, England x 2 in the that run in.
Spain may have already qualified, but even a mixed team should win.
even if u subbed Alonso, u have Senna or Fabregas to pick etc.
If it was a mixed side, Spain players would be fresh.
South Africa are expected to play the same team again, meaning fatigue may well play a part
Spain wil set a new world record for consecutive victories if they win tonight. Avoiding defeat will equal Brazils all time record of 35 games unbeaten.
South Africa...they dont play competitive games against european opposition, obviously cuz their african, but even in friendlies, they struggle. in the past couple of years, they've lost to both Portugal and Germany....
I just cant see anythin else but a Spain win.
I would however maybe hold back untill the teams are announced though....just to be on the safer side. _________________

I am going to the game tonight and cannot see SA winning this game at all. I reside in SA and 2 days before the tourney the players almost went on strike demanding higher bonuses etc. A common occurence before any tournament that we enter.
The squad is sending out all the right noises but a friend of mine close to the team says that some infighting is happening because some of the bigger clubs are trying to put pressure on the coach in order for the value of their players to increase if they play.
Spain is going for the record and man for man are better than SA. SA is not a very physical team and thus will allow the Spanish to express themselves more on the pitch than they were able to with some of the other teams.
A confident Spanish win by at least 2 goals. |

Spain Vs South Africa - SPAIN WIN
Spain are already through but are still putting out a very good side. The coach wants to see his side keep their run going and you have got to fear for Africa. The hosts need a draw but from what ive seen from them so far that will be tough.Pienaar has made them alot more dangerous and they can play some great football but their finishing can be a little rash sometimes.Spain will play with freedom tonight and i cant see anything but a win for them.Torres, Villa, Xavi and Fabgregas all start so the price they are to win looks tasty now. They should have too much for the Africans here and depending on the outcome of the Iraq game it could be Africas last game in this comp.It could also be goodbye to their under pressure coach.
SPAIN WIN @ 27/37
Iraq VsNew Zealand - IRAQ WIN
Iraq have done well so far.Ok they havnt scored yet but they have come very close. They have been well organised and have a good manager to keep them that way. They still have a chance of making the semis but need to win here and probably by a couple of goals.I think they can win it.The manager rested both his strikers against Spain so they can be fresh and ready for this one.New Zealand are already out and are just playing for pride.Iraq are good defensively and can be dangerous on the attack. They made Spain work hard for their 1-0 win lto and i think they can win this one.Whether they make the finals or not depends on how South Africa do against Spain but its a great chance for Iraq. They have not won an official international match for over a year but they should end that poor run with a win tonight.
IRAQ WIN @ 4/9
