The competition is very simple

I will select one match per day from any league or cup competition anywhere in the World and you have to predict the following:

*1X2 – Who will win the match or will it be a draw

*HT/FT – Who will be winning at half time and full time or will it be a draw

*Overs/Unders – Will there be more than 2.5 goals scores or less

*Correct Score

In addition to predicting the above you will need to give at least 4 separate reasons as to why you have made the predictions on the basis that if you have predicted the home team to win that your other 3 predictions would reflect this.

You do not have to give 4 separate reasons for each prediction

Anyone that does not put any effort in and writes “X will win because I support them” etc or copies and pastes things from other sites will not be considered

*You may not edit your post at anytime

*All scores are 90 mins only extra time does not count

Scoring System:

1X2 – 10ts
HT/FT – 10pts
Overs/Unders – 5pts
Correct Score – 10pts

If you manage to predict all 4 correctly there will be an additional 15 points awarded

The person who gains the most points during the month wins; in the event of a tie we will have a single match playoff

The following template should be used for your predictions:

1X2 - Name of team to win or draw

HT/FT - Y/Y or X/Y or Draw/Y etc

Overs/Unders - Overs or Unders

Correct Score - 2-1 or 1-1 etc

Followed by your reasoning

Games will be posted by 7:00pm for the following day, if there is no game posted by 7:00pm then anyone can pick a game and the first one posted will be the selected game

Going through the stats for this game there should only be one winner, Skonto are 26 points ahead in the league table and are the highest scorers in the league. Head to Head are in the past 7 games vs each other are Skonto W 5 D 1 L 1. So on that record i predict an away win Fingers Crossed

This Latvian league is a small affair with just 9 teams but there appears to be a big gulf in class between top and bottom as Skonto come into this fixture with a GD of +34 and a points tally of 35 from 16 games compared to poor Blazma who have only 7 points and a GD of -30 from their 16 games. The only results of sorts which Blazma have managed were against the other 2 teams below them and the 1 directly above them and with plenty of heavy losses of more then 2 goal margins it doesn't give them any hope in this game. Skonto have lost just once in their last 10 games and they come into this game off the back of an 8-1 win which followed a 6-0 win, plus the 2 meetings with Blazma already this season have seen wins of 7-0 and 4-0. A Skonto win in both half's with overs seems almost inevitable so I guess it's just a matter of the scoreline and I feel 4-0 sounds reasonable given that Blazma have not scored in their last 4 meetings.

This is a league with a massive gap between the teams class. With 3 teams very closely at the top of the table with around 35+ points and then the bottom three sides have around 7 points or less. These two sides have met on 8 separate occasions. The record for Skonto in the head to head matches are W8 D0 L0 GF29 GA0. So Blazma have not scored a single goal against Skonto in their 8 head to head meetings. Skonto have played away to Blazma on 4 occasions, the results have been 0-7, 0-2, 0-1 and 0-2. Blazma’s home stats this season are W2 D0 L6 GF7 GA21. But their 2 home wins came against the only two teams below them in the league, FK Tranzits and FK Daugava 90. The most important player in this match will this leagues top goal scorer, I. Lukjanovs who has been in fantastic form for Skonto. Skonto’s away stats this season are W4 D2 L2 GF28 GA10. They have been leading at half time against Blazma in their last 3 matches. Skonto score an average of 3.13 goals per game, and concede an average of 1 goal per game. The home side Blazma score an average of 0.63 goals per match and concede an average of 2.5 goals per game. Skonto have only failed score once this season, while their opponents Blazma find it a lot tougher and have not scored on 9 occasions so far this season. Anything but an away victory here would be a massive shock. The difficultly here is assessing how many goals? The HT/FT etc. The last 2 meetings have been overs, but the 3 before that were unders. 10 of Blamza’s 16 games this season have been overs, and 12 of Skonto’s matches so I am opting for overs.

Skonto away record 4W2D2L ; GF28/GA10

There are only 9 team in the Latvian top league and out of these 9, there's only 3 real teams, the rest are just hopeless. Skonto are one of the top teams and this will be another easy 3 points for them. Skonto already whacked Blazma 7-0 at the start of the season.
Total goal = (7+21+28+10)/16 = 4.13 - overs

Yes, the difference between this two teams is huge. Only by reading the chart we can see 21 points between them: 35 vs 19! That says all. And the recent h2h is very hard to repeat it for the Blazma fans: 4-0, 0-7, 0-2, 1-0, 0-1, 6-0, 0-2, 6-0 ! OMG! What this, tennis?
In the last 8 games in all Skonto wins and no goal for Blazma!
The best that Blazma can hope is to not be humiliated and if only receive two goals they must be very happy and if they score they should give a big party tomorrow night!

what a mad looking league and the same teams are always up there so results are easier to predict,skonto won at home against blazma 4-0 earlier in the season and are third in the league and won last time out 6-0 against the bottom side,skonto average scoring 3 a game and blazma average letting in over 2 and not far off 3 goals a game,i expect a high scoring game and skonto should blow blazma away

Big difference between this teams, Blazma have worst attack, just 10 goal scorred and 2nds worst defence, 40 goal conceded in 16 match. Skonto is at 4 points from first place, have the best attack, score 50 goal and 3rds defence conceding 16 goal in 16 match. Seeing statistics information have many wins with over 5 goal per match, so the only problem today will be how many goal will score Skonto, I think five will be enough.
